No, it can't. You just don't know you are impaired. How often do you drive this when a threat to the public... I mean when you've been drinking.

Sucking anything into your lungs whether conventional cigarettes, vaping or marijuana is not doing anyone's lungs a favor.

    Lol

It has certainly destroyed the democratic party.
Warren's medicare for all + wealth tax to pay for it.

Medicare for all = 52 trillion dollars

Wealth tax of 100% on everyone with over 50 million = 3 trillion dollars.

The problem with Biden's argument is that THE REASON we don't have more data is the federal ban.

Skipping the drunk driving question I see.

Why are you posting drivel in response? Warren will never get elected.

anti-drug laws support terrorists, drug lords and gangs, supporting them is offensive and against freedom

sadly many of the drug laws we have were created because of racist reasons

at least we agree they were heroes - they were only criminals due to bad laws

and if it was legal that dollar would not go to terrorists and drug dealers... it would benefit the economy

when alcohol was illegal it created crime too

the abuse is there legal or not, just one makes criminals of those that did not abuse - same was true of alcohol prohibition

That's you personally which is a personal choice of yours and a respectable one at that.

However you and I both know you are the exception and not the norm. Most folks have more than one drink at a time and plenty of folks drink well past the level of legally defined impairment.

We sell booze by the bottle and most commonly the 6 pack. We should be selling beer by the individual 12oz bottle and limit the amount that can be purchased at any one time if we are concerned with what "drugs" do to society. Yet we do no such thing, I can walk into a liquor store and purchase an entire keg of beer and happily tell the clerk that the entire thing is for me and they will sell it to me as it's perfectly legal.

We allow such practices in society openly and without hesitation. How can we even begin to justify marijuana being illegal when we allow this?

I think Cigarettes are a Gateway Drug to Marijuana use and Alcohol abuse causes MUCH! more misery and damage to our Society then either. MILLIONS of deaths can be directly attributed Alcohol. Amazing how certain substances deemed by our older society as acceptable, because of the Tax revenues they generate is ok with them, but Marijuana and Vaping and the minor in comparison deaths caused by them are illegal or taken off the market.

It's not just about the tax revenue it also has to do with personal preference. Most folks don't care about alcohol abuse because most folks consume alcohol. So even though alcohol has decades worth of verifiable evidence proving it's negative effects on people and society as a whole, we tend to just turn a blind eye because we don't want to regulate something that most of us use.

Marijuana is different because not everybody smokes weed and since weed was designated as a "drug" during a time when our lawmakers were growing up it's sort of stuck in their heads as something "bad". I have personally met multiple folks, mainly elderly, who will sit there drinking a glass of bourbon while simultaneously explaining that weed is bad....Hell my own grandmother has no problem knocking back some booze but views weed on the same level as terrible drugs like heroin. It's a generational thing more than anything I think.

I'll support the use of drugs once they are legal and not coming from cartels

It's a bad idea to legalize things to eliminate crime

I'm neither for or against legalization.. I'm just saying while it is illegal it's wrong to do it and it supports very serious crimes.

Just a candid observation, but has anyone over the years observed how, as drug laws have slackened, weapons laws have conversely tightened?

It's as if there are those who believe both cannot exist in place at the same time.
    Maybe they can't.
