Imagine if we started with just half of one percent of the money given to the military and used that to fund programs like these?

How many lives of our finest and the innocent would be saved?

How many lives would be improved?

But there is no profit motive or political benefit so it is never going to be funded!

    Sad!

'Terrorism' has far less to do with ideology than it does with just good old fashioned extortion and gangsterism; 'ideology' is just the dogwhistle sociopaths send out to each other so they know where to find similar like minded sociopaths, is all. In the ME and elsewhere, that ideology is in turn hidden behind faux 'religious' rubbish. You get rid of violent, psycho gangsters by killing them; that is the only way.

Groups like Hamas survive and thrive because governments are funding them, and funding them well, and in their case the funding comes from other Arab states and the United Nations and many 'charities', even U.S. based ones; they make a nice living off of terrorism, in some cases very nice.

Most often they use religion to justify their aggression, imho that's where all the efforts to eradicate ISIS should be concentrated. If they will lose support they could not operate effectively.
