No congressmen who are the only branch/ institution in government who are obliged by the constitution to perform the same task as a cop and as a prosecutor when the President is a suspect. Why would you expect them to do it any differently from those who do it as a profession, unless you don't want them to investigate or prosecute as effectively as your local police or prosecute as effectively as your local DA. But that is the rub, isn't it. You don't.

Did we ever find out what was actually on those emails that Ivanka and Jared were putting through a private server?

Because they aren't an investigative body. They didn't behave this way when investigating the charges against either Clinton or Nixon so why do it this way now?

One of the things I've learned is that we seem to be watching two complete movies. Democrats see that tweet as somehow criminal, and republicans see it as amusingly unimportant. How anybody can see a tweet that didn't threaten her in any way as something else to add on to a growing list of charges is way beyond my ability to comprehend, but I have to believe that guys like you truly believe it to be true. Democrats see these hearings a damning evidence, and republicans are wondering why Schiff keeps calling people to testify to something they have absolutely no knowledge of.

It's an interesting phenomenon. It's like that picture of a dress that some people see as red, and others see it as blue. The same picture, but two completely different takes on things.

    I guess we'll see what we'll see.

Since it's not a formal trial, they will bring in every person with hearsay that they can in order to keep the sham going. They could care less if their witnesses are of no use in a senate hearing, their use is over once the MSM spins their testimony.

During an investigation, the cops rarely share hearsay evidence. They generally use it to pursue other leads.

There was a largely unnoticed moment during Yovanovitch's testimony yesterday. Dem's counsel while questioning her brought up the fact that Don's friend and benefactor Vlad was the first to introduce the idea Ukraine, not Russia, was responsible for the 2016 election interference. No wonder this ruse was so eagerly adopted by Vlad's favorite candidate, the buffoonish clown known as the Orange Fraud.

Very likely they will continue to do what they are doing. Trump makes so many mistakes and he can't keep his mouth and twitter shut, a monkey could make him look bad. So, the Dems will just do what they are doing right up to next November.

Then Americans will fire Trump's a$$.

    Working too fast again.

What if the President of the United States tweeted, "Everywhere garyd went turned bad," and that tweet was on every major network, would you not feel intimidated?

In other words, the President is saying everything you touch turns to shyt. Yeah, that is intimidating.

Now picture yourself with 33 years of experience in our nation's foreign policy.

It hardly matters what time of the day the ambassador found out about the intimidation. That is what the White House said, and that is perfectly ludicrous, but then the White House was taken aback by the abject stupidity of the President. His people are trying to help him, and he sends this intimidating tweet during the witness's appearance at a Congressional hearing.

Republicans said Trump's mid-hearing attack sabotaged their strategy:

    • Republicans recognized going in that she's a highly respected career official, and planned to focus their questions on showing how she had little knowledge of what is being investigated.
    • After the tweet, Republicans went even further out of their way to praise her (even calling her "Your Excellency" at one point) — which just made her abrupt recall to Washington look even more puzzling.

I wish that was the response of all Trumpette's every time they hear or see a lie being promoted by the Liar-in-Chief or Faux News.

    Meanwhile, back at the raunch,

The essence of the tawdry contretemps is now focused primarily upon the corroborated accounts, under oath, of America's dedicated public servants and the desperate need to trash them.

Summarily dismissing the weight of common testimony of such patriots is is a dubious strategy, especially given the stark contrast with Fake Don's notorious repute in the matter of veracity.

The parrots who have been trained to shriek "Hearsay!" stumble up against the diversionary ploy of outing the protected whistleblower and forcing him to provide his even-further-removed "hearsay!" - already dismissed by those who are demanding it as having no value whatever. Why bother?

Given their contempt for America's apolitical foreign service experts, the true believers must be squirming at the prospect of revelations by hyper-partisan Trump toadies that the messiah has gagged to keep hidden what they know.

Million dollar Trump contributor Sondland, Trump's Ukraine "Fixer" Giuliani (and his playmates Parnas and Fruman,) and, most intriguingly, Johnny Bob Bolton, who has a Mona Lisa smirk affixed to his kisser these days with a lucrative book deal in the bag and a yooj wave of free publicity in the offing.

Actually, I'm finding the spectacle quite amusing.

... and Giuliani, with his two dirtbag accomplices, as Trump's bogus ambassador is a delightful spin off!

"A former White House national security official told House investigators that Gordon Sondland, ambassador to the European Union, was acting at President Trump’s behest and spoke to a top Ukrainian official about exchanging military aid for political investigations — two elements at the heart of the impeachment inquiry.

Tim Morrison, the top Russia and Europe adviser on the National Security Council, testified that between July 16 and Sept. 11, he understood that Sondland had spoken to Trump about half a dozen times, according to a transcript of his sworn Oct. 31 deposition released by House committees Saturday. Trump has said he does not know Sondland well and has tried to distance himself from the E.U. ambassador, whom Trump put in charge of Ukraine policy along with two others, even though Ukraine is not part of the European Union."

Yeah, just like you said Mueller would bring Trump down or Clinton before that.

When are you going to realize that your ability to read situations and predict future outcomes is extremely flawed? My guess would be never.

You've got to love Fake Don's phony suggestion that he might voluntarily answer questions under oath.

He's consistent. When he says he may voluntarily answer questions under oath, he is lying, of course.
