After listening to some testimony ive noticed a common theme from these witnesses, Burisma was notoriously corrupt. Fairly low level people knew that so why did Biden allow Hunter to be on the board of a company he surely knew was corrupt?

 

Exactly.

 

Joe Biden: Pay my coke snorting son and you get special favors. I set policy in Ukraine.
Burisma: Ok.
Ukraine: Ok.

 

By doing that, it's given Trump the loophole to go after him using the language of our treaty with Ukraine.

Another thing that strikes me as weird is the removal of the prosecutor. From the testimony we've heard the entire country of Ukraine was corrupt so why single out the prosecutor for doing what everyone in Ukraine was doing?

 

Except the only one who really truly counts... you'll hear from him tomorrow...

He told the Ukrainians there was a QPQ, aid for investigations, which we better know as extortion...

After Sondland came in and changed his testimony to remember telling Yermak about the QPQ and then Holmes mentioned the 7/26 call with Trump that he also forgot, Gordie became the one I wanted to see...

 

In your mind that was every day of the Russian hoax. lol

 

The only thing that would breathe any life into this dead horse is Trump running his mouth on Twitter in a counter-productive way.

He said he didn’t discuss Biden with Ukraine despite it being so important trump brought it up personally and Sondland said the aid relied on it

 

The msm is obsessed with the wonderful resumes of the witnesses. But they’re not connecting any dots or making a case for impeachment.

Yea, I still have not seen much of anyone delving into the administrative error allegation. Every previous account of how that memo ended up on the highly secretive server is because it was placed there to either "prevent leaks" or "limit the political damage." I even thought there was a personal response from Eisenberg on that issue, but he supposedly told Morrison something different?

And I can see the rationale behind arguing that today created a bit of an information overload. I spend a great deal of my time following these proceedings and I had real life to contend with such that I missed most of Morrison and Volker, and I actually am greatly interested. I know that means that those who have much less interest, or have a perverse interest (i.e. a reason to turn out the proceedings), are that much more likely to tune out these proceedings.

 

Why do you feel the need to start and end a two sentence post with "lol?" Just make your point.

As to your point, his opinion of the phone call (and I place little stock in "these 4 other people did not say out loud if they had a problem") is not a very strong selling point for you. After all, he was worried about the political implications of the phone call such that he also went to the NSC lawyer to raise his concerns.

And he was correct to do so because other career officials who listened to that call, live, instantly reached a conclusion that the phone call was improper. And in the full light of day, an overwhelming majority of Americans ALSO agree that the phone call was improper.

 

They are fact witnesses to an impeachment proceeding. Fact witnesses are rarely, if ever, asked to reach a legal conclusion. In fact, asking such is often considered inappropriate.

And sure, you can ask them if they believed a bribery took place, but each of these witnesses are only knowledgable about certain aspects of the entire investigation. That's why the appropriate course is to collect all of the information and then ask the trier of fact to make a determination based on the totality of the evidence.

 

It doesn't take a great deal of non-military training to recognize that a "request for a favor" from the leader of a much more powerful country, one upon whom the smaller country is reliant for support, can be and should be taken with a great deal more gravitas than a "mere favor."

 

Damn good question, they tried to paint Biden as "seeking justice" for covering for Jr.
