This is the first time that Trump linked the military aid directly to a specific "corruption" investigation that Giuliani was pursuing. Before today, every defensive attempt to link those was that he was supposedly looking into general corruption and not these specific investigations. It also does not help that the one investigation he referenced today is the thoroughly debunked "crowdstrike server" conspiracy theory.
