Great news for those who say Trump has not been given the right to defend himself!

The Judiciary Committee has announced that they will start inquiries on December 4. And they have invited Donald Trump to give his deposition.

There you go! Now he can tell us what really happened under oath! That'll show dem Democrats!

After what the House pulled, Trump is wise to wait for the Senate trial. There's no reason to give disposition to a body that can't actually make a ruling. Maybe, if the House had proceeded in proper fashion there would've been a path forward, but they chose not to do that.

He will still be under oath during the trial, so any lies he is caught in can result in felony perjury charges the moment he is no longer president.

and what fashion are you referring too? Is this the BS claim that they were supposed to have to vote to start the inquiry? That is not required. Republicans didn't do it when they impeached Clinton, and yet now that claim the constitution says he has to be done. ****ing hypocrites.

Hypocritical or not, if Pelosi wanted a bipartisan majority, if she wanted a "serious and somber" proceeding, she should have moved in a serious and somber manner. But she did not, and there's no excusing that. Yes, he'll be under oath in the Senate. I don't have any problems with that.

The problem is, given Jerrold Nadler's personal history with Trump, he's the least impartial person possible to be head of the judiciary committee at this time(in a similar format to Adam Schiff.)

The political zeal to get rid of Donald Trump isn't bipartisan or serious and somber. Even if the impeachment is successful, it just means that Elizabeth Warren is governing under a dark cloud and it's a cloud that will only go away in 2024.

Pelosi COULD have began inquiries with no evidence at all, like the GOP did wth Clinron. In fact, when they impeached Clinton, the GOP didn't even have a crime to investigate. They had to look for one.

Pelosi waited until they at least had clear evidence crime that was committed. (NEWS FLASH: ENTORTING A FOREIGN GOVERNMENT INTO DIGGING UP DIRT ON POLITICAL RIVALS IS A CRIME)

He wasn't looking to dig up dirt, he was looking to investigate into what is becoming apparent as a money laundering operation. he idea that because Biden was among 10 democrats running for the Democratic Nomination means he shouldn't be investigated is laughable. In which case, Trump shouldn't have been investigated in 2016.

Are we prepared to say that?

According to Ukraine, Hunter Biden was never a suspect of any investigation. The President of Burshima was under investigation for money laundering, and Shokin himself, the former Prosecutor-General was under investigation for taking bribes from the President of Bushima, and the executives of other companies, in exchange for rigging or slowing down investigations into them and their companies. But the investigation NEVER involved Hunter Biden. And calls for Shokin to be fired were being made well before Joe Biden was ever involved.

Trump froze Uktaine's aid, and instructed Rudy Giuliani to meet with them for the purpose of making a deal with that, that they claim that Hunter Biden had been under investigation, and that Joe Biden had bribed corrupt officials to get the Prosecutor-General fired to protect him. Instead they told the truth. That Shokin was fired for corruption, and Hunter Biden was never under investigation. Trump froze the deal with the explicit purpose of blackmailing Ukraine into lying for him, and creating a fake investigation into the Bidens.

Trump was on Fox News on Tuesday claiming Giuliani had no authority to represent him in the Ukraine.

Aren't you just a little embarrassed at this point?

Your post is accurate. but I doubt Trump knows anything about the Ukraine or previous US policy in Ukraine. He truly is either senile or too lazy to find out what Ukraine was about.

LOLOL. You may want to start over re: the timeline re: Hunter Biden and the company he worked for. Trump still doesn't know and you're smarter than Trump.

You think that's wise? Despite the fact that Republicans in the Senate are not allowed to question him? Or even talk! They have to sit there quietly and listen to the evidence.

I prefer a trial where the President's counsel is present and cross examination is there. Also, Pelosi, Schiff, Nadler have all ruined their credibility in this 'investigation'.

Either impeach him, or censure him with their dog tails wagging.

He lied under oath. I don't think they should have impeached him, but lying under oath is a crime.

There is zero chance of Trump testifying at any senate trial, and less than zero chance of him testifying at Schiff's or Nadler's Star Chamber. And that is the way it should be. Do not ever give quarter to Gladiators at the Gate.

Can you imagine trump under oath? LOL! If the man told the truth his little black, forked tongue would fall out.

Golly gee, they did their best to follow the rules the GOP crafted a few years ago. Then they relied on the Constitution a lot so I guess that was a bad thing. The poor Republicans didn't get to call their hoped for witnesses, Joe Biden and the whistleblower. They're still crying about how unfair it all was. I mean, people that showed up started spilling the beans!

You want a comedy act? The Republicans called their two star witnesses and, holy crap, they told the truth. Nunes got so lathered he accused them of being Democrats. He said something along the lines of, 'They're your witnesses, not ours!':roflol:

    He knows it too

The few times he has had to front court himself instead of sending in armies of shysters with baskets of bribes, it has gone extremely poorly for him

You mean they didn’t get to call any of their witnesses but two democrat picked witnesses.

I take it you still think assumptions are facts.

Trump refuses to allow key witnesses to testify. He sure as hell isn't going to say anything himself. But the general consensus is that John Bolton will eventually testify. That should be a humdinger! :D

That was the FINAL vote., which indicted Clinton It didn't happen until AFTER the impeachment inquiry was over. Trumpers and Republicans are claiming that there has to be a separate vote just to begin the impeachment inquiry. Starr's report was ordered by the judiciary committee as part of an already strarted impeachment inquiry. The Republicans were already running a impeachment inquiry before starr began his investigation.
