...except that he would have been impeached for a period of time.

But you declared your theory a correct interpretation, so it must be right.

Oh look, someone who read a meme and doesn't know what speech that came from, or what his actual point was.

Nice try. For a headline reader that is.

Given you offered no SC citings, I must admit I doubt the SC has yet had to deal with one of these dog and pony shows. I hope you know that Trump will not be convicted. Schiff and Nadler are wasting their time. For a show. A dog and pony show.

There have been a lot of issues concerning what the Constitution means. And we can also say the same about the SC itself. First it ruled slavery was legal. Now it would not rule that way at all.

It ruled against the income tax. Later it flip flops.

No, he would not have been impeached. Basic knowledge of Constitutional challenges also seems to elude you.

What amuses me most is you used a Republican to try to make your point. Second said Republican, though president, was never elected to be president. He was handpicked by Nixon.

Trump bum kissers - not you, of course - are desperate to divert attention from the corroborative testimonies under oath of so many impressive, apolitical public servants and to mercilessly savage those worthies. The evidence continues to mount, and the phony excuses continue to collapse, but for those who seek the truth, Fake Don's gagging Mulvaney, Bolton, Perry, Pompeo, and other Trump operatives in the know, and persisting in hiding documents that could prove revelatory, remains a serious obstruction.

The contest is between those who seek the truth and those who seek to hide it. Emotional adoration or repulsion regarding Fake Don is extraneous to that struggle.

The purple trickle we were assured would be a "blue wave" both the House and Senate? Yes, yes I do.

You still don't recognize that 2018 was a #BlueWave? Let me recount some facts.

    1) 40 House seats flipped for the Democrats, the most that Democrats have ever obtained in a single election since Watergate.
    2) Democrats lost 2 seats in the Senate despite having 26 on the chopping block, including 10 in States that Trump won. 5 Seats in states that Trump won by double digits.
    3) 7 Governorships (8 once you count 2019) flipped to the Democrats.
    4) The single largest popular vote margin of victory, at ~9.8 million, in a midterm in US history. The senate popular vote margin of victory was even larger.
    5) ~390 seats flipped at all levels of State, Local, and Federal elections.

And all of the underlying reasons why that #BlueWave took place? From the amount of disapproval that Trump has earned from women voters, the rate at which suburbans are abandoning the GOP, the rate of retirement for GOP members, the enthusiasm gap for Democrats, the amount of voters who have vowed to NEVER support Trump, and the sheer ****ery, idiocy, and corruption exhibited by Trump during the first two years of his term?

They still exist and they are the reason why the #BlueWave of 2018 will likely become a #BlueTide in 2020.

    Yeah?

    Same result here.

    Sorry OP, no offense.

That's not fair! You get to enjoy impeachment for a full year before I might (and probably wont) get to enjoy his election.

No no no! We're very gracious. You get to enjoy another four years. Can I get you a pillow, a drink, anything? We aim to please.

Not to worry though, after 8 yrs of Trump, we're going full socialist.

In fact they've been on this impeachment kick for over three years. Here's one of the leftist heroes who's been leading the way.

The billions in farmer aid to make up for his unilateral trade war decisions means we are already full socialist.

Despite some Trumpers obsessing over those "leftisits" that fester in their noggins, House leadership was extremely averse to opening an impeachment inquiry until it became blatantly irresponsible not to do so.

After all that has been exposed, the question for Constitutionalists is now, "What is Fake Don so desperate to hide?"

If only trump had not been such a **** up and thereby ensuring that Democrats took control of the House or got caught trying to bribe a foreign country into investigating his domestic political rival...

Trump rightly concentrated on the Senate, which he won.

Trump endorsed like 70 candidates. Of those about 25 won. So yea, he also focused in the house - and lost. And because of that **** up, as soon as he blatantly ****ed up again (a la Ukraine), he earned his impeachment.

As for the Senare, he won 2 seats out of a possible 26, including 10 in states that he won, 5 of those states he won by double digits. If that's "focusing," then that's pathetic.

You claimed Trump's loss was 'pathetic' and I only had to go back one President to prove you wrong. I could have gone back to Bush and Clinton also and you would have seen Trump had more success than either. Trump created that 'booming economy' and the electorate knows it.
