Because step one is already complete. The trade teams aren't going to go back to the table just because Pelosi doesn't like it. BTW, something's confused me. I always thought treaty ratifications were done by the Senate, what's this doing at the House anyway?

He wants to break DACA , which by the way, the courts have not yet determined he can legally do, and you want Dems to negotiate with him to get their hands on the shards of glass? Even if we glue it back, the guy will throw it on the floor and demand that we do the same thing again.

Before Dems decide to negotiate with anyone they have to decide that there is a mature adult to negotiate with, that knows what he wants and can communicate it, and that will keep his word on the bargain. It is my position that Donald Trump cannot be trusted to know what he wants for long enough to even write it down on paper so there is nothing to negociate about. He does not understand what he is doing. He does not even know what he wants. He changes his stance via twitter before 24 hours even goes by, and even if you could lock him into a deal, he would renege on it when his base started to whine. That is what he has done repeatedly.

Give us an adult, and we can talk.

Even if the house were to have already voted on it, the agreement would still need to go through the U.S. Trade Representative. Normally trade agreements are processed through that agency before congress even votes on it.

Isn't Trade Representative Lightnzier a part of that agency?

So that is a "yes"? You agree we would be farther along in the process if Pelosi weren't so hellbent on obstructing it?
