Obama probably would have succeeded without affirmative action. Proving again that Thomas was right about the negative impact of affirmative action on highly qualified black Americans.

No he doesn't. Many of your bigots in pickup trucks are quite liberal. Perhaps you should read what he said one more time.

Only for presidential elections. Locally, the south was run by Democrats into the 80’s 90’s and 2000’s in the case of Georgia.

He made remarks against an ideology that has turned vicious against any blacks that dare stray from where their racist stereotypes seek to hold them. He said nothing about the Dem party.

Does this mean you supported the "high tech lynching" of Clarence Thomas?

The charges against Thomas and Kavanaugh were obvious political slander.

    That's why they were confirmed.

The klansmen were white Southern anti-democratic Democrats. Surely you know that.

"In 1875, under the Mississippi Plan of Southern Democrats, a political dual-pronged battle to reverse the otherwise dominant Republican trend was waged. The first step was to "persuade" the 10 to 15 percent of white voters still calling themselves Republicans to switch to the Democratic party. A combined fear of social, political and economic ostracism convinced carpetbaggers to switch parties or flee the state."
AFRICAN AMERICAN REGISTRY, The Mississippi Plan, political deviance!, "Of course he will vote democratic", Harpers, 10/21/1876
    https://aaregistry.org/story/the-mississippi-plan-political-deviance/

Why are you insisting that the KKK was is conservative Republican? That is historical revisionism.

No, he was saying that liberalism has promoted anti-democratic institutional racism in America.
The fact that most liberals are not racist is irrelevant.

The DP has been forced to stop hanging its opposition. The "high tech" media lynching has become the modern alternative.

It's the new narrative. Get some black conservatives to say that liberals have been terrible and you simultaneously discredit the liberals AND attack the perception that the Republican party is the party of white people only.

That's why there is all the hype in the media about "black unemployment levels" being lower. As if Donald Trump went out and made some jobs specifically for black people, more so than previous presidents.

    That is false.
They were confirmed because the Republicans are bigoted against Democrats, are completely partisan, and lust for political power above all else.

I think "first black President!" helped catapult Obama to victory. Had he been white, with the same lack of experience and racist background, I don't think there's a chance in hell he'd have been elected. And I say this as one of the people who voted for Obama in 2008 and will admit his race played a big role.

I agree. The best way to slowly chip away at the brainwashing of the Democrats is to have intelligent successful blacks speak up to say there is a better way.

Kanye too, as nuts as he might be. He also is a successful black man with a big audience, who is not afraid to say "think for yourselves, look who is really helping you, you don't have to vote Democrat."

I don't know how so many people are misunderstanding Thomas' statement. He's saying that while blacks were told to fear the Klan, it was really liberals and liberal policies which have been more detrimental to blacks than any imagined or long ago threat from the Klan or rural whites or whomever.

It's not the rural white dude in the pick-up truck who is most likely to be a threat; it's the liberal in the electric car who says he's got a welfare program to "help you".

The KKK is virtually irrelevant these days. Liberals though are still going strong....

Yes! Another person who understood Thomas' point!

....that's the reason some black voters are slowly starting to see the light also.

    Amen. Me too.

You may not be a "terrible" liberal, but many liberals are.

"History reveals that every piece of racist legislation that was ever passed and every racist terrorist attack that was ever inflicted on African Americans, was initiated by the members of the Democratic Party. From the formation of the Democratic Party in 1792 to the Civil Rights movement of 1960's, Congressional records show the Democrat Party passed no specific laws to help Blacks, every law that they introduced into Congress was designed to hurt blacks in 1894 Repeal Act. The chronicles of history shows that during the past 160 years the Democratic Party legislated Jim Crows laws, Black Codes and a multitude of other laws at the state and federal level to deny African Americans their rights as citizens."

Clarence Thomas has NO PROBLEM with LEGISLATING from the BENCH. He is quite vocal about doing it too.

    Here are several examples.

Nonsense, they were confirmed because the witnesses against them were exposed as liars.

This is the same Perryman who said:

"Perryman furthered that the Republican Party is too white and too old. “They’re going to die and the Republican Party’s going to go in the grave,” he warned. “They don’t want to reach younger people and they don’t want to be inclusive.” "
