To a Christian.. yes.. It makes perfect sense… Religion? Funny hats and clothes, a priest class that makes lotsa of rules on their own, goofy ceremonies and pageants.. etc... I study the Word and do my best to follow It.
For example.. I don't celebrate "Easter" per say, I observe the Pascua.. the Crucifixion and Resurrection, which, at least fall on the correct days as stated in the Bible. The birth of Christ does not fall on December 25th, I do celebrate, but clues indicate the birth of Christ was actually sometime in the spring (Shepherds in the field, alignment of the planets with their apogee over Bethlehem (the Star.. the true word is "heavenly body), etc.. The Three magi where not present at the birth, they came years later to seek the place of the apogee; Joseph and Mary stayed in the home of relatives.. the downstairs of the home, which was also used to shelter animals.. a lot of the Christmas story was fabricated by the "religious" in the subsequent years.

    Pro Life/Pro Choice
I am neither Pro Life nor Pro Choice as these are Statist terms that hand over the individual autonomy to the government. Abortion ought to be legal, but it is something one should try to avoid.

    Socialism/Capitalism
I am 100% laissez-faire as that is the only system under which individual liberty and true prosperity can be reached.

    Atheism/Theism

I see more positives with religion than I see negatives although there certainly are plenty of negatives. Personally, I am not a follower of any religion, but if people want to be religious, they should - obviously - be allowed to be so. Judeo-Christian morals and values are generally healthy for society and there is no reason to shun them.

    Big Government/Small Government
    how about no government?

    Redefine marriage/Traditional marriage
Not really sure what this is supposed to mean, but I would say that it is none of anyone's business how two consenting adults choose to live their lives as long as their beliefs are not forced on to the rest of society. If a Church does not want to wed a same-sex couple, they should be free to not do so.

    Anti Gun/Pro gun
    I fully support gun rights.

    Higher taxes/Lowe taxes
    How about zero taxes?

    Illegal immigration/Legal Immigration

This is a strawman as there is no political force that wants illegal immigration, it is just that some forces want more laxed immigration than others. I personally believe in individual immigration; If you want to help immigrants, you should be free to do so.

    Anyone can vote/Voter ID
There is no usage of democracy if there is no government. ;)

    Anti Police/Pro Police
Who is Anti Police other than criminals?

    Open borders/Controlled borders
    I support individual property rights.

    Obamacare/No Obamacare
    No Government-.Care.

    Activist Judges/Constitutional Judges
    Real judges.

    Wlfare/Business
    Businesses create welfare.

    Sanctuary cities/No sanctuary cities
    How about freedom?

Dude...you ought to look up the meaning of "religious".
I think you're trying to say you are against OTHER religions than yours

All of that is pretty recent. Most if not all came from the 50s as a reaction to "the godless communists".

    It was NOT "always there".

The left and the right appear to have differing opnions as to what "ending illegal immigration" means and how to accomplish that...and declaring anyone not of your opinion to be for "open borders" is typical Trump dishonesty

Of course it does, one does have to follow organized religions to follow jesus christ

Martin Luther in his zeal split the church for the second time, he was a punk priest who married a nun in spite.

There are some problems with your list.

Blue is not for higher taxes - Neither wants higher taxes - yet both spend like princesses with credit cards - as if we are not on the hook for this spending.

Red Establishment is not for less Gov't - it is for more Gov't = pro police - pro more laws - pro less individual liberty.

Red loves big Gov't - increasing Gov't power while trampling on essential liberty. Red loves big Gov't spending - which is collected from wealth redistribution (taxes) which is "socialism".

Obamacare was lipstick on a pig - Neither Red or Blue Establishment has addressed the systemic issues that have resulted in a 3.5 Trillion dollar annual healthcare spend (2017).

You are talking gibberish... People in general are not for higher taxes ... as stated previously. This has nothing to do with which states have a lower cost of living. Wyoming has a low cost of living because housing prices are low because no one wants to live there.

The fact of the matter is that Red Establishment spending tells the tale. What part of this do you not understands ?

Never said it was, although congressional prayers have been made way before the 50s.

Red is for lower taxes, blue is for higher taxes. Warren even campaigns on it. However both red and blue are for more spending as you say. The dichotomy there is quite normal for politicians.

    For the wealthy.

They'll throw a bone to the middle class and poor once in a while but only because they have to in order to make the tax cuts for the wealthy a little more palatable.

Burt a bone is all it ever is

I'm probably lower middle class (retired) and my 2018 income tax was significantly less for close to the same 2017 income and costs. Of course I don't know about others in similar positions. But then neither do you.

What folks say they are for - and what they do - are two separate things. I know many Dems and they do not want higher taxes - at least for the middle class.

Warren does not represent all Dems - and she is mainly for higher taxes for the rich and corporations - not the middle class.

At the end of the day - I don't give a hoot what people say with respect to " Red Blue" ideology - its what the leaders of the party do.

The interest on the Federal Debt is now above 500 Billion/yr. Whats worse - is that these payments are projected to increase dramatically in the near future - yet - Trump and congress keep spending like princesses with credit cards.

This is what results in higher taxes. Trumps tax cut - just like Reagan's tax cut - has been a fiscal disaster. Like putting nitro in an engine - short term gain for long term pain. It is the tax payer that is on the hook for this reckless spending - and someone has to pay for this spending = higher taxes.

As stated - Obamacare was lipstick on a pig - no attempt was made to address the systemic health care spend issues.

3.5 Trillion in 2017 - roughly double what other first world nations pay - each having universal healthcare. Simple logic dictates that we could save 1.75 Trillion dollars - by simply adopting strait across - one of the more efficient of these systems. In fact we should be able to save more due to economies of scale.

I'll answer this because I'm getting tired of progressives pretending to be libertarians.

I'm pro choice. Abortion is indeed a matter of personal freedom. Except for late term abortion which should be illegal, because, you know, it's murder.

I have a *massive* problem with transgender children, since personal freedom is the right of *adults* to make their own choices, not the right of parents to force their ideas on their child, also called child abuse.

I'm completely against gay marriage, and proudly so. Again, gay marriage is not an association of consenting adults, as it it involves adoption and/or artificial procreation of nonconsenting children. I'd only support gay marriage if gay couples were not allowed to adopt or associate with kids in any way, only then would it be a freedom of association issue.

Businesses hiring illegal immigrants should definitely be a crime, the crime being harboring criminals. If a thief is being pursued by the police and I hide him in my basement, that makes me an accomplice. Same here. Personal freedom is not the right to knowingly help lawbreakers.

There is no difference. Pro Choice means that there is no moral problem with abortion and it should be legal. Pro life means that abortion is immoral and should not be legal. They are just terms designed to avoid using the word abortion.

I'm about Donut levels of red, and Caboose levels of blue. As for the OP, that's not really how political parties work. They're not monolithic, they're comprised of all sorts of different ideologies and beliefs. To say they can be boiled down to a few issues isn't how they actually work.

Your list below is total BS! Please provide a link to a DNC website that ascribes to any of the words you mention under Democrat? Many of the words you use for Republicans are also an attempt to show your political bias. I know YOU did not originate the list but YOU should not distribute politically biased nonsense disguised as being accurate when it is not...

I don't really agree with all of the standards that you have listed as Conservative. I don't believe that Christianity is a conservative value. I do believe that religious freedom is a conservative value.
