I am a proud papa as well as a pa-paw. The tone of that post was an attempt to goad folks into posting some of their outdoorsmen pics.
Her elk was this seasons muzzleloader tag...filled. Her and her husband find the location and then he drops her off before sunrise or sunset on her day to hunt. He then goes back home to watch their kids and waits for her call. He then returns to her to pick her up or to help load up the take. He hunts too, and she watches the kids when he does. this season he got his elk during archery season and she got hers during muzzleloader. Two elk, that’s a lot of friggin’ meat in the freezer.

    All I got.

Peacock bass out of Gatun Lake, Panama. Tastes close to walleye. Good, mild flavor, but overly fatty.

They're easy to catch. They almost jump into the boat.

Hell, yeah! We fished and hunted chukar at the same time.

Bass, crappie, bluegills, and an occasional trout.

Stripes make some awesome fish tacos! At lake Powell, I go out in the evening and try to get a couple of 4-6 pounders for tacos. From biting a hook to being served on a plate in under an hour. Can’t be beat!

Nope. All I have to do for exercise is walk out to the mailbox... which is approximately 1/2 mile from my house... up hill.

Are you planning on giving, or hoping to receive?

Probably not. $2,000+ seems a bit excessive for an exercise bike. The commercial and the parodies it spawned are evidently a thing.

My kids always ask me what I want for Christmas and I always tell them a guy my age can never have enough Old Spice.

In my State it is not legal to hunt w/o wearing some Orange.
And eating an orange in a duck boat don't count while waiting
to pop off a few rounds.

Mike Gallagher { Talk Radio host ranked # 6 } told the story a week ago
about his father and when he died.I believe Mike said he was around 8 or
9 years old.And that his dad only wore Old Spice. Most men, even my father
did the same. That or Aqua Velvet.Anywho his dad was in the hospital
the night he died and his Mom and Sister were there by his bedside.
Mike was home alone and it was getting late. His Mom and Sister were
due back and it was after Midnight. He remembered that around 1 am
{ that is when his Mom and sister said Dad died } he went into his
Dad's room and to this day will never forget the smell. It reeked of
Old Spice. He said he was bowled over. And that years later it was a sign.
That God performed a sort of Miracle. That when home alone and his
Mom and Sister were away at the Hospital as Dad was dying he decided to
go into Dad's Bedroom at what must have been around 1 am and
the room smelled heavily of Old Spice.I kid you not.
I wouldn't make up a story like that.

I suffered a sever coughing fit after reading that. ;)

The best things I've gotten for Christmas is people's time. An adventure together to some place I haven't been, a promise to attend a particular festival or concert together, a day just spent rambling around the yard and sitting on the porch with a glass of tea.

And seafood. We can't forget the seafood....

What? No interest in Cowboys vs. Bears?

I don't care, but I would think it would be a fierce topic of discussion.

This years crop of NFL talent and Teams are already turning sour.
The good thing is maybe,Finally, some Owner's ,Like Bengal Owner
Mike Brown { son of legendary Paul Brown } will finally concede and
change his ironclad ways.He is and has been for decades The Most
Stubborn and Old Fashioned Owner in NFL History.
He is unflinching in his one-sided approach to recruiting, scouting
and running his Family Business.Think another Cincinnati bullheaded
owner.Like Marge Schott of the Cincinnati Reds. The ballbusting bigot who
chain smoked and drank Vodka like no tomorrow. She eventually was banned
from Major league baseball for her outright name calling that proved
outright bigotry. She was somewhat popular due to her appearances at the
    ball park { Riverfront Stadium } and her St.Bernards { Schottzie 1 & Schottzie 2 }
who were allowed free rein on the field to poop as they please.
She was The First Woman to buy a Major league Baseball team.
Started out as an office girl working for her father. She married rich.
She had the biggest potty mouth in all of sports. Her comments about
Blacks,Jews and Japs is historic. She was a German who also defended
Hitler. That was in her words " until the end ".

how Brits enjoy eels.Like what would a Christmas be w/o some
    nice dressed eels.

As strong as the support of the 49ers is in my house, the disdain and explicit words used in relation to the Cowboys is just as strong.

It wouldn't matter if it were a Junior High football team from some 'burb, they would be cheered and supported against the Cowboys....
