It suggests cracks are forming in the solid belief “all things trump are good”

I do not wonder. Frankly I will take us all back a few decades to when I was then a very loyal Democrat and some might call me then, a radical supporter of them. Without pause, my only votes were cast for Democrats commencing with President Kennedy. I voted for Carter. Carter truly was a huge disappointment or I would still be a Democrat.

What flipped me? A darned good book. A super book in fact. A time for Truth by William Simon. Frankly the way the book was described, I expected it to totally trash republicans so eagerly I read it. Trouble was when republicans got trashed, they deserved it. Such as Nixon going along with a national speed limit and his raising taxes. Nixon agreeing that oil was either old oil or new oil to be priced totally different.

The book ended up presenting a compelling argument against the Democrats so I changed parties.

 

Meh, the left wing media calls jokes lies so no one takes the blathering about lies very seriously.

 

They prolly woulda fielded better candidates running on actual platforms, instead of the 'I hate Trump the most!' 'No I do!' show that America just wants to turn off.

What has happened these 2009-2016 years was what I expected to happen immediately after Obama took office and Republicans announced that they were the "resistance" and would fight against President Obama at every opportunity.

I've wondered how different things would've been if Republicans had chosen to cooperate and get along with President Obama. I'm not suggesting that they support his policies or his appointees. But what would've happened if Republicans had

1) Avoided all talk of resistance and opposition.
2) Tapped down the personal attacks on him and his family.
3) Avoided the sneering condescension of him and his appearances.
4) Avoided the arrogant condescension and sneering attacks on his supporters.

One wonders indeed.

Like trumps insistence that he had proof that Obama was not born in America... hence by implication, not really an American and not having America’s interest at heart. In fact I heard conservatives say tha Obama actually had an agenda to destroy America

And then there were the loud and constant assertions that “character matters” so that Clinton should not be president for this reason
