You do realize that at the time he said that either Russia already had them making Comey a liar, or Russia was never going to get them. It was a joke as everyone except Democrats apparently knew, which is why everyone there laughed their asses off.

Ukraine could have started an investigation into Biden without telling anyone.
But then Trump would not have been able to say at every rally that "Biden is under investigation", had the investigation been kept quite.
It was not about corruption. It was about politically damaging a political opponent.

A President Joe Biden asking Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to start an investigation
into the 2024 Republican Presidential Nominee(whoever it may be).

Trump denies the accusation that he blackmailed Ukraine. He's called a liar by people claiming he secretly blackmailed Zelensky.

Zelensky denies he was blackmailed, coerced, or pressured to investigate Biden, or publicly announce such. He's called a liar by people claiming that a secret investigation took place.

The belief that these men are liars, and the assumptions that secret blackmail and coercion took place, is called speculation and manufactured conspiracy theories. None of which are admissible as evidence.

 

Don't be ridiculous. At the time Trump made that obvious joke, the FBI had already been in possession of Hilary's email domain server and pertinent devices - for months. It was physically impossible to recover the deleted emails, unless you are claiming the Russians were going to break into the FBI evidence room to get those deleted emails.
