You have a president working full steam ahead for progress (which economics absolutely confirm is happening) and a democratic controlled congress totally focused on blocking it,.
And you condemn the president instead of the congress. Awesome logic there.

So, how much money did the Trump haters lose betting against Trump, and praying for economic ruination?

How much money did you put where your mouth was, and how much did you lose?

Me? I made a sweet 14% while laughing at you clowns.

It will help keep domestic producers in business.

That is where I would watch things like defaults on autos, homes, and college debt. Paradoxically, if consumer confidence remains high, it would serve to increase consumer spending and debt in that sector. Watch for 30-year bond inversion. Q1 should provide clues.

Will it cause a US recession in 2019? There are only a few recession starting days left.

I don't know. Chesapeake is in serious trouble. Coal mines are closing , retail shops are closing.

Hmmmmm . . . it's now late 2019 and still no recession. Leftists just never can seem to catch a break.

If you find yourself praying for economic disaster to help your team, then it is probably time to re-evaluate your allegiances.

Wanna know how to make a small fortune? Start with a big fortune, and bet against Trump.

So, how much smaller is your fortune now, @Ronstar ? @Sandy Shanks ?

All the leaves are brown and the skies are grey for the DP now.
Praying for an economic collapse is all they have left.

If the DP could think ahead it would not have started the Civil War.

I agree with your general premise but - the oil price is not an example of a recession indicator in this instance. My guess is that we would do better with a higher oil price.

The manufacturing index has been in contraction mode for 4 months now. The nitro injection via Trumps massive deficit increase has run its course. We got a short spike - due to increased Gov't spending - deficit spending. Short term gain for long term pain.

Interest on our debt has been rising and is now over 500 Billion/yr.

The Iphone business cycle is running its course. The glory days of high profit margins on increasing sales are gone. Increases in sales are harder to come buy - and margins are being squeezed by heavy competition.

Read the other day that Electric Vehicle battery sales revenue will exceed computer chip revenue over the next few years. The suppliers of these batteries were all non US companies. How did we miss that boat ?

The China trade deal was never in the works. Any dumbocrat that ends the trade war plays into China’s hands. China’s exports are dropping and manufacturers are sourcing from other countries. The idea is stopping China from cornering trade and it is working.
