CNN ratings plummet to lowest primetime viewership in almost three years

We are quite a politically-diverse group here in the Forum, with very widely divergent views on nearly everything. Nevertheless, I'll must mention the news sources I check with every day, and they, too, are quite different from each other in a number of ways.

1. FOX news -- you would anticipate that from me, a "Rightie"... but, I've never really been able to cultivate much of an appetite for Sean Hannity....
2. RT News -- countervailing viewpoints, with some rather obvious Russian propaganda, but, a venue to the most interesting show covering the global economy -- "The Keiser Report"! Link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Max_Keiser
3. BBC News -- Great Britain, of course... more of interest now as we all follow the 'mud-pit' wrestling over BREXIT.
4. Tageshau -- Germany (I speak German). Interesting to see just how far to the half-witted, radical-Left Germany is willing to go as the European economy becomes more and more enslaved by the European Central Bank -- especially now that Mme. Lagarde is running it....

Fox is not "Orange Man Bad" like CNN/MSNBC

 

This may sound strange, but the first place I go to to see what’s going on is the Current Events section of this board. If something big is breaking it’s possible that not every news outlet will be covering it yet, but with all the news outlets available, someone on this board will see the story somewhere and post it. After that I go to Fox News, but they don’t cover as much stuff as I would like.

You got that right. Sitcoms, Sports, TV Dramas have all been infected with Leftist politics and many Free Thinking Americans have tuned out.

The key for the media is that they are now owned by massive conglomerates and able to push Leftist agenda without answering to their stock holders as they are but a tiny part of the entity which owns them. It's how Leftists get away with it by design. These massive mergers allow for Leftist propaganda to burrow into our Main Stream Media.

 

I always find it interesting when people release books bashing the media they often make the bestseller list, the media should take heed.

1. Fox News
2. Al Jeezera Int'l
3. Breitbart
4. Jimmy Dore (Casts)
5. CNN (net)

I want a variety AND I want stories that the MSM just refuse to cover. I get that with this combination. It makes it easy to own Leftists as they largely DO NOT get diverse in their information and go down the DailyKos / CNN / MSM drone approach.

People simply are watching less tv. They are watching Netflix, Disney+ and whatever that technically isn't tv. Lots of kids watch youtube. Take a hint.

i see no point in watching any news on a regular basis, they're all biased... the 'top' stories always make their way to forums such as pf, login, review, then search it out (if it's worthy of a search) , comment, done...

 

I personally go with aggregators to get the biggest stories and then do further research when interesting. Drudge and Huffington are good starts to get the main points and arguments from both sides mixed with what the folks here say.
