Never said Ukraine was a "utopia"......uhhh, have you ever been to S/NDak.....stayed here for any length of time?

"Gets colder than Moscow"?.....lol, maybe for a few nights where it can get to -20s.....and were not talking for prolonged periods.

We can range graze livestock all winter in many places/areas, including mine. Open water dugouts, automatic watering bowls(with water lines 6 in deep, or shallower).

NDak is/can be colder.....once you cross the Missouri/Lake Sakakawea/Fort Berthold Reserve along that line....you can start lowering your vehicle heater in Feb, depending on area.

How deep are water lines buried north of Moskva? 8-10'.....wait, they still use a well with pail and rope and have outhouses.....no need for plumbing.:)).

The Russkies have many natural resources, but they don't manage to generate money and wealth from it. What's wrong with them? May it be due to the central government at the Kremlin?

Russkies should study history of the US miners of Colorado. That might help a lot.

Moscow is located almost at the same latitude (53.5) as Hamburg (55). Are you sure you have not frozen your brain when you sat in Hamburg for several hours in February?

Proximity to large, relatively warm body of water impacts local climate significantly. Western Europe is much milder than Moscow due to Atlantic Ocean. Since there is nothing but flat land around Moscow, it’s winters get very cold.
For comparison - I live in Chicago and it’s on same level with Istanbul, Turkey. Summers here are hotter than in Turkey and winters are much colder. Turkeys climate is mellowed out by Black Sea and Mediterranean Sea. Chicago has a bit of climate moderation from Lake Michigan, but not that much. Still, winters here are much milder than in Iowa or South Dakota.

No....I don't have chickens....and have been to Hamburg. You vatniks don't listen well it seems.

You can't compare weather patterns of Hamburg and Moscow.

Like @Thedimon said....Hamburg sits close to water and gets warm breezes, most port cities do.

    Moscow isn't a port.....and it's ****ing cold in winter.

You are correct about the warmer temperatures in Western Europe -- up to a point, and interestingly, Hamburg, Germany is right on an odd sort of 'border line'. You notice that it is about equidistant from both the North Sea and the Baltic Sea. Consequently, Hamburg, and points-east are frequently subjected to much colder temperatures, but just a bit to the west, around Bremerhaven and Bremen, the moderating effect of the Atlantic Ocean is felt (through proximity to the North Sea) much more often.

Back on topic, here is an interesting interview centered on contemporary 'Russian Youth' that I found to be fairly interesting and relatively free of 'agenda': http://www.ponarseurasia.org/point-...n-youth-how-are-they-different-other-russians

Hamburg sits close to water therefore it is much more humid there than in Moscow, and therefore a temperature of 0 degrees feels there like -10.
Besides Hamburg is on the North see and not in Atlantic ocean. Helsinki is also a port, I do not think you would want to sit there in the open cafe in the street in winter.

Well according to you....no one does on here.

Shucks...huh....we'll try hitchhiking, maybe there's a tractor trailer headed east. Use $US for bribes, you'll get there quicker.

Doesn't matter.....they still get warm breezes. Mecklenburg Bay, Baltic Sea, it's still warmer waters.

You've sat in Helsinki? Goes back to what the **** you in Berlin if Moscow is such a great place in winter. Because Moscovia is a frozen shithole many of the time. I recall reading how many kids froze in winter, and local authorities loading them up in vans/trucks.:))

How many freeze in Berlin? Life is good in Germany vis....Merkel money, steady job, employment perks, good nightlife....great Christmas market right about now, Germans will "germanize" you.....remove that vatnik carcass outta you.

Hamburg sucks....I was just there in September. Plenty of Muslims running around, that's for sure. I was in Berlin in December last year...the weather was ****. Germany is very over-rated. I don't need to go back that's for damn sure.

Those Muslims running around in Hamburg are probably Syrians that Merkel let in.

They should be in Moscow or Pete.....since Putinka &Assad are bumchums. They should immigrate there.

But seeing as Hamburg "sucks" according to you.....those Syrians/Muslims see it different. Hamburg is warmer......Russia about now, is a frozen shithole most areas. You do the match sport.

They are very much welcome in the US, as long as Trump is still in office of course.

Spell check, you need it since English isn't your first language. Fact is that the reason Russia isn't full of Middle Eastern Muslims is that Putin and Co is smart enough to keep them out. Merkel, not so much. As well as Macron and whatever idiot let them in the U.K. Western Europe isn't that much warmer than Moscow....I hate the cold but I'd take Moscow over the cockroach infested areas of Western Europe. London, Paris, Berlin....all Muslim shitholes.

Uh, no, no spell check needed on my part.....my English is fine.

Well yeah, Putinka should take in some of those "Muslims"....like I said Assad and he are bumchums.....but why would they go to a frozen shithole.

BTW, Chechens, Caucasus have many Muslims....which is in the RF. Seems you don't know your geography well.

Of course you'll "take" Moscow.....you're probably from there. You did mention you knew where every exotic car dealership was in the city..didn't you?

Part of me likes the idea of living in rural Russia. I'll bet it's nice and quiet.

Only thing is, I'd need someone to bring me my groceries.

I have recently decided against a planned trip to France because I am sick of French union members. They seem perpetually on strike and don't care that their benefits are too costly for the taxpayers.
