The Democrats will - finally- impeach Trump just before Christmas, and then proceed to lose miserably in the Senate. What then? They spent all this time and effort and political capital to impeach Trump, what do they plan to do next? Do they think their impeachment of Trump, and subsequent failure to remove him, will help their chances in 2020? Why? Surely, they will be desperate to not be the first Congress to impeach a President only to have him re-elected - what sort of nonsense will this desperation bring?
The only reason they are doing it. If they were really interested into getting to the bottom of what happened they would not rush this, shelve their subpoena's or at least wait until January when the WH lawyer subpoena goes to court.
The sad part is that when Trump walks free of having to deal with any type of Congressional oversight that those powers will stay with the office - we could very well have a Socialist President who can ignore any Congressional investigations and bypass any Congressional oversight because of the precedents set by this President. I hope Trump FanBoys understand the unintended consequences of what is going to happen in the Senate. Future Presidents with no bounds on authority. Possibly a Socialist.
I think they realize everything they have tried to manufacture has done nothing but increase support for President Trump. In their blind TDS filled rage, they feel putting an impeachment blemish on his record will somehow satisfy their distorted belief that they actually should have won the 2016 election. IF they retain the house in 2020 they will continue down their futile path. Bless their little hearts and those of the 172 judges that President Trump and Iron Mitch McConnell have put on the bench so far.
They are doing this BECAUSE of what they believe, REGARDLESS. They want what they want, and they want it NOW. They haven't thought it out any further than that.
