    Mornin', y'all.

I'm not looking forward to this afternoon, where the possibility of that... that... stuff, is being predicted.

Maybe I'll just sleep under my desk tonight.

Come on over. Ill make you some eel that will change your mind.
I make eel for Christmas Eve if I can find it.
    True Story.
My brother brings home an eel wrapped in brown paper for my grandma to cook for Christmas Eve. She puts the brown wrapped eel in the sink and opens the paper and the eel resurrected from the dead. Im at the kitchen table watching the whole thing unfold. My grandma starts swearing in Italian and grabs a broom and starts beating the hell out of the eel on the floor. Grandma won and we ate the eel.
Ill gut the eel and cut the head off. Cut it into small pieces and marinate it overnight in red wine vinegar, garlic, salt and pepper. Next day roast it in a shallow baking dish until its nice and brown. Its tender and delicious.

Its not all that uncommon for a large fir tree to have bottom branches like that before they even cut it down.
I saw the tree and the decorations for Christmas at the White House this year. I wasnt crazy about last years decorations but this year they are beautiful. The first lady, staff and volunteers did an excellent job of decorating. I didnt much care for the red trees last year. The looked odd and unnatural to me in some major way.

Okey Dokey Tree Doctor.I'm not a big fan of mostly all white Christmas
ornamentation. My German buddy from the 80's explained it
to me once.Germans in the United States don't like all those
who put up Chritmas lights around the house in different colors.
Germans are a fussy lot. They maintain that Christmas lights should be
all white.I guess because it resembles snow.

lol Im not a tree doctor. We have some fir trees on the property. Some lower interior branches and especially side shoots closest to the trunk, turn brown and die off but halfway down the branches are still alive and growing. If we start a fire in the fire pit, Ill break off some dead branches from the firs for the starter. It goes up like a torch. Ive seen that die off on lower branches I cut off for cemetery boxes also.
Im not a fan of all white either in most cases. But sometimes with the right decorations to go alone with it, they look pretty good. I like those big old fashion lights we use to have growing up that look like nightlight bulbs.

All white Christmas decorations is usually a wealthy thing.
Like wearing expensive overcoats and high class watches/jewelry.
I remember a TV series { British } which is out of print.
    Tales From the Crypt { 1972 }
It was one of my favorite of all time creepy Thrillers.
Joan Collins starred in one titled :
    - And All Through the House -.She had white everything in her nice
bungalow { even a white fluffy rug }. Which was typical Joan Collins.
It was Christmas time and her nice expansive Table radio was playing.
Some nutty Looking Santa was stalking her from outside her nice
    house.
In - Dynasty - Collins seldom wore the same designer outfit twice.
Plus her Hats would be the envy of the Queen.
Not much of an actress, but well-dressed she be.To this day.

I think I saw hothead Gordon Ramsey once go fishing for Eel.
I think it was in some rather pathetic tributary or stream around London.
Just Reading Jack London's - The People of the Abyss - { 1903 } was
enough for me to swear off any food linkage and London. However
Harrods { Historic huge London Department store } has a food court
to die for.I musta counted around 2 dozen different food court purveyors
with differering versions of Pastrami. All looked really great.
I figured out Ramsey's schtick. He purposedly makes sure to get served
a bad entrée so as to complain. That's it in a nutshell.

Ah ! Maybe. But when Chicken goes from white to the color of
corned beef that should send up some bat signal.
I mean,it's not too far from serving a nice N.Y.Strip steak
in some yellowed sauce { Hollandaise }.

Well, as long as you enjoyed them.

Dealing with multiple health issues that require me to be very aware of what I am eating, rule of thumb says if I can't identify any of the ingredients, I won't be eating it. It's not to say that occasionally I bite the bullet and just do it, but there are prices to pay for that. It better be really good to make it worth it.

I never watched Gordon Ramsey. Is that the guy in the commercial for some show who put someones head between two slices of bread and was berating the person? I saw that and thought what a chooch you have to be to humiliate someone like that. He probably spits in the food. lol Not impressed at all if it was him.
When I was growing up we use to go fishing all the time. I actually have a picture of me at about age 5, in a dress, holding a fishing pole near a stream. When I got older a bunch of us would fill coolers with ice and beer. We would drag those coolers really far out on the breakers to fish, get a tan and try to empty the coolers.
I stopped fishing because I didnt believe the water was clean enough to eat the fish. Aside from fishing in the reservoir with a permit, it was catch and release. If Im catching , Im eating. Im not in it to torture fish for my entertainment. Im in it for the food.

I've never had Chicken Tikka Masala but it looks real good. I'm going to have to try making that some time - I've never ventured into cooking Indian food.

This curry spice blend is awesome on chicken, too:

Regular curry is good but this Thai curry is even better. We have to buy it online because it isn't available in most grocery stores.

Curry is a good spice. But it can overwhelm a dish.Like Fresh Rosemary.
Like certain hot peppers.Like certain cretin cooks.

How many amongst yuz have a Clue as to what their State fish is.
    Or be.
Yes the Bass { Large or smallmouth } runs away with most popular.
And of course Salmon or King Salmon in Alaska.
Try Apache Trout in Arizona.I wonder how many of them
Megan McCain has done caught.Or Hooked.Or Took off a Hook.
Maybe it be yer run of the mill Gar fish.Or a Weakfish.
Howz about a kiddie fish like the Sunfish.
Or a hard to spell fish like the Humuhumunukunukuapua'a
Gee I dint know dat. Some thingy are better off left alone.
Like a big old & Ornery Channel Catfish.
Good thing they ain't know Eel as state fish.
    Too eely for my blood.
Wasn't Ron Ely like a Tarzan onced ? Maybe Twiced.
I wonder what he thought of eel.?
    No I doesn't.

Good thing I dint ask as to what Your State Tree be.
This must be a typo. That there are about 300 Billion trees in
    America.That is fundamentally Impossible.There aren't 300 billion anything
in America.Maybe 300 billion blades of grass.
I'll drink to that.99 bottles of beer on the wall.
Why are bottles of beer on a wall.?

Small mouth bass. We have lots of fishing tourneys in this area, and the roar of the call out at 6:00am on the lake can be deafening.

I'm not a big fish eater, but cod and haddock or preferred if necessary.

    Tulip Tree.
Personally, I don't like them But I can plant whatever blows my fancy, which would be dog woods, red buds, and sugar maples.

Um ... so today's question du jour is :
How does one git to be a State Fish.?
By being easy to catch like a Floozie.
Or hard to catch like a strict catholic Nun who just got out the
Nunnery. And has something to prove, usually involving a thick
wooden ruler.Especially on nice warm days when the word got out
the Truant officer has a few days off for good behavior.
Hopefully not headed for that favorite fishing spot where the
brown trout are begging for attention.
