Nice dodge. Would you like to take the position that dems care about the environment? Lets discuss pollution in the state where dems hold a super majority.

I certainly would not take a position that Trump or the republicans care about the environment. Would you like to take the position that dems care about the environment?

I realize pollution is a bipartisan matter, but I am a Democrat and so address most of my efforts to where they will damage Republicans. I have always felt Republicans are more than adequate at doing the same in return so leave that to them.

That makes you useful. Having no political party, I can look at both sides of the ugly coin and point out that the illusion of caring about the environment is all either side is after.

I heard last night that Time magazine was picking the “whistleblower” as person of the year.

When is Schiff getting the award?

Now I hear it is grumbling Greta?

Anybody in a 1998 Mercury is driving what they must. That would never happen to me as it's criminal to put a bumper sticker on a Rolls:D

There would be, if there were self awareness. The responses I've had from such people when directly asked how they reconcile their profligate abuse of the planet and their activism, I've thus far encountered mostly 'blank stares'. The idea is apparently completely new to them. Some do go from there to indignation, of course. Anecdotal, but it's a 100 strike rate. I've yet to encounter a 'yes it is us, and we must change if we want to save the planet'.

But you're probably right. Anger driven by guilt is probably a huge part of it. They realise their time is up, and that they'll have to start adjusting their plush lives. They're so incensed by that possibiliyt, that they'll shriek for Govt/Industry to do something so they can keep plushing.

Perhaps they don't. They apparently also fail to realise that the typical 'greenie' lives the most destructive lifestyle on planet earth.

All is illusion, in politics as in life. The trick is to make the illusion beguile itself, and so become real occasionally

This young lady could have been indoctrinated to believe that global warming was the result of evil thoughts. Her image is being used to manipulate the gullible. Do you think she is eating a Vegan diet, using green transportation, and volunteering for cleanup events?

Does she understand the environmental cost of printing Time Magazine? I'm sure she will collect a copy or two for posterity's sake.

The original attempt at claiming catastrophe, from Mr. Al Gore, was also an attempt to tax the citizenry, to support the industries, in which he was a stockholder.

I'm actually what I call 'light green'. Regardless of natural climate change, I feel people do have a responsibility to do the least damage possible to the environment. But that means I do things, and I'm not out there demanding everyone else do things, or demanding they be taxed to stop a naturally occurring event. It's called personal responsibility, and the louder most of these militant environmentalists scream, the less I hear them.

Actions. It's what gets things done.

Because the average Greenie is a white First Worlder from the middle classes and above, who are the most profligate recreational travellers, and most profligate consumers of imported and out of season consumables (foods, alcohol, etc) on the planet. THAT lifestyle .. the "fine wine + travel" lifestyle, is the one which will kill us all.

The lowest socio-economic orders are doing far less damage, despite their love of Walmart. Just taking the recreational air travel out of the equation, reduces their lifetime footprint by a huge amount.

Exactly. They are spoiled babies, demanding someone make it easy for them to continue raping the planet. Nil action. These ****ers go home from their damned protests and book their next overseas holiday. How can anyone take them seriously, much less NOT mock them.

She probably is. But it doesn't change the fact that she's shouting at the wrong people. It's her supporters who are culpable, not Govt/Industry.

Good point. Printing thousands of magazines and taking a jet for speaking engagements all over the country is not exactly helping.

Greta's a great idol for the left.

Underdeveloped brain, lives under socialism, doesn't have a job, does nothing but complain, history of mental illness, presents no workable solutions.....makes total sense.
