Poor baby?!! Why doesn't Trump hire this piece of human waste?!! I would not like working around a convicted war criminal either?!! I'm just glad this war criminal is no longer a part of our military too?!! As former soldier, I would not have followed the order to shoot unarmed people?!!

Former US Army 1st Lt. Clint Lorance, the officer who in 2013 was convicted of war crimes, said it was "impossible to find a job" at a Walmart or Target, despite being granted a full pardon by President Donald Trump last month.

Lorance was sentenced to 19 years in military prison after he was found guilty of second-degree murder by ordering his soldiers to shoot at three unarmed men on a motorcycle in Afghanistan in 2012. Two of the men were killed by machine-gun fire and the third was wounded.

So making the above decision in wartime makes you a war criminal according to Swamp People in DC sitting in an A/C office? Disgusting. Was Obama a war criminal for killing by drone entire wedding parties?

Thank you for your service. I have never been put in the position to decide who is or isn't armed where enemies look just like friendlies.

Calling him a piece of human waste would mean that you have the ability to read his mind.

"war crimes" what an oxymoron. This PC term is what keeps us from winning the last few wars we have fought. War isn't pretty and there is such a thing as collateral damage, oops, sorry, this is a war. We need to go all in when war is what is needed. Go in, destroy everything the enemy has and get out! The end!

    This is why:

One of Lorance's defense attorneys, lawyer and author Don Brown, published a book in 2019 entitled Travesty of Justice, in which he argued that the Army did not permit the jury to consider evidence showing that Afghan National Army soldiers accompanying Lorance's patrol began firing at the motorcycle first, and kept biometrics evidence from the jury suggesting the motorcycle riders were Taliban bombmakers.

The DNA from the men shot were linked to IED's found later. This evidence was not allowed to be presented.

Neither was the fact that the day prior, men on motorcycle had shot and killed members of their platoon.

The left: Demand Rodney Reed be freed, and an innocent man go to jail.

I bet the individual in question's closest brush with combat was being FAP'd out to mess duty.

    Interesting

But I am cynical about accepting the word of the defence lawyer over the court findings

Either the evidence existed or it did not. Seems someone found it huh?

I'd like to see how you'd do in a 2 second life or death decision for the platoon you were responsible for though.

Lt. . Lorance made an apparent bad decision in retrospect. That is not murder but it is apparently a mistake. Now this was a military court that found Lorance guilty so it would be interesting to see what evidence the military had. Lorance should not be callled a war criminal for making a mistake. Lorance apparently had only a split second to make a decision if those guys were suicide bombers or not. He made the best decision he could in a split second.

Now your implied allegation against Obama hidden as a question is wrong and dispicable? If you want to call Obama a war criminal then are you going to call Truman a war criminal as some whacky dacky real leftists have? Is Gen Curtis LeMay a war criminal because he commanded bombers during WWII?

Is George Bush a war criminal for invading Iraq? Some Bush haters said so?

By the way a drone operation commands the drone remotely so mistakes can happen.

You seem to have a very warped idea of what war is. Hitler conducted war the way you want you and yes Hitler committed war crimes. So did Stalin. Civilians do get killed by accidents that is unfortunate. The Germans had killed all the people in a Czeck village because Czeck PARTIZANs assainated a top NAZI. The Germans committed a war crime.

Destroying war targets is fine and good. Bombing hospitals, orphanages, entire Villanova villages and killing civilians is not fine in any way.
