New Quinnipiac University Poll Shows Democratic Impeachment Inquiry Show Trials Were Not a Hit With Voters

A majority of Americans now oppose impeaching and removing President Trump from office, according to a new Quinnipiac University poll Tuesday that signals Democrats’ month of hearings to make their case has failed.

Quinnipiac found 51% of registered voters surveyed said they don’t want to see the president ousted through impeachment. That’s the first time the number has been above 50% since before Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced an impeachment inquiry in late September.

While Republicans and Democrats are dug into their respective positions of opposing and supporting, independents are driving the approval shift downward:

But it’s among independents where the margin is made — and they oppose impeachment 52-44, Quinnipiac found.

In other news, while Pelosi is inclined to release moderate Democrats to vote against impeachment to save their seats, AOC is recruiting radicals to primary the moderates.

 

So the real numbers are probably even higher. No one is buying this impeachment crap.

I certainly says a lot about our President when 49% of the American people either want him removed from office or don't care if he is removed. How do you see this as a positive?

 

There are tens of millions of U.S. voters who trust little if anything the media says, including pollsters. The fastest way to my dialtone is to announce affiliation with any MSM outlet or pollster. I know hundreds personally who feel exactly the same. It was a grave error for the Democrats to rely on polls in 2016, it is even more foolhardy today.

I believe the -true- numbers against impeachment are far far higher than numbers pollsters are reporting.

Or, it says alot about the degradation of the the Democrats and their media. CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC all switched away when Republicans spoke and/or asked their questions of the shills Nadler brought in to testify. Republicans weren't allowed to bring in witnesses. Democrats in concert with their media are no better than the Soviets in brainwashing their people.

Yes, the "polling blind spot" is well documented and ignored.

 

Where are the independents when it comes to the evidence against Trump? They run and hide and try to change the subject.

Where are the independents when it comes to the consequences of letting Trump off the hook when it comes to breaking our laws? They are totally silent and move on to a different topic.

I am weary of people avoiding the evidence then saying there is no evidence.

I am weary of people supporting Trump's exoneration and avoiding the ramifications of new, illegal powers given to the executive branch such as requesting foreign interference in our Presidential elections for the President's benefit.

You can think of it in terms of how the results would play if the election were held today and how people would feel.

The purpose of polls is to gauge sentiment.

It would be illogical to assume that all of the 51% who are against impeachment would vote for him in 2020.

 

There is no evidence. The transcript is the most objective witness to nothing. Even Vindman couldn't debunk the transcript. Al Green provided evidence that the reason for the investigation is that Democrats have no one who can beat Trump. By their own admission, Democrats gave us the impeachment hoax as their 2020 campaign since they don't have a candidate.

 

Pollsters are increasingly stuck with drawing their respondents from only those who still don't have caller ID.

 

He doesn't need them. He will again concede NY, CA, and IL and win with 47% of the vote.

 

The poll is merely gauging sentiment, not voter preference. Again, "if the election were held today," this would be the sentiment that voters would have. It doesn't mean they will or won't vote for the President.

You may be correct, We will just have to wait and see. Here are states according to Real Clear Politics that President Trump won in 2016 in which he trails one or more Democratic candidates: Pennsylvania, Florida, Arizona, and Wisconsin. Apparently he still has some work to do.

 

Whenever I see ANY poll results about ANYTHING today, I insert "lonely baby boomer widows watching daytime TV" just after "respondents" wherever that term appears.

Applying that here would result in "51% of lonely baby boomer widows watching daytime TV say they don't want to see the President ousted through impeachment."

OR "Among lonely baby boomer widows watching daytime TV, Hillary Clinton has a 90% chance of winning the Presidency."

 

It's just that this impeachment farce is not going the way that he expected it to go. The EVIDENCE was supposed to get Independents to demand Trump's head on a pike; but the problem there is that all that has been presented is obviously politically partisan B.S. instead. Substituting political propaganda for actual evidence is NOT going to cut it with true Independents.

 

To that you could add bored welfare moms who think pch is calling and will answer the questions just for giggles.

After the July 25 phone call with Zelensky, as he usually does, Trump doubled down on the Biden investigation. On Oct. 3, in a news conference on the White House lawn, he called on Ukraine and China to look into former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter.

“If they were honest about it, they would start a major investigation into the Bidens,” Trump said when asked what he wanted Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky to do about the former veep and his son.

“They should investigate the Bidens,” Trump said. “Likewise, China should start an investigation into the Bidens, because what happened in China is just about as bad as what happened with Ukraine.”
