    Belgium is not the EU.

    Beside that, the EU is the main tool that allows us to strike back. You took 13 billion from VW. We took 18 billion from Apple in response. Since Germany is the hegemon of Europe, we can use the combined market power to deflect american agression quite well.

    I rather not sell to Germany. If up to me I'd not sell or buy any products or products sold by or produced in Germany.. But that's a history thing with me!!

    You could have said no... You're supposed to be independant and intelligent, this would have been a great time for you to bug out. After all, no one trust Germany when it comes to respecting diplomatic treaties.

    2001 was different time, i was a small kid then. In that time, Germany and USA were still friends. I know we had lots of american movies and such stuff. USA was seen as cool friend. Its weird to see how this changed. USA had a very positive image here in that time.

    For one, it is not blackmail, and two, that trade agreement wasn't the only bond between the two countries.

    As far as what else is there to break, this site would take umbrage of my post if I were to follow through.
