Federal prosecutors in the Southern District of New York (SDNY) want Rudy Giuliani’s indicted business associate Lev Parnas locked up ahead of trial for lying about his assets and income. Prosecutors made this clear in a Wednesday filing.

Prosecutors in the SDNY now argue Parnas ought to be considered an “extreme flight risk” because he “made materially misleading and false statements to Pretrial Services and the Government regarding his assets and income”

    FROM THE FILING
In addition, Parnas’s close ties abroad include connections to Russian and Ukrainian nationals of nearly limitless means, including Foreign National-1 and a Ukrainian oligarch living in Vienna who is currently fighting extradition to this country.

First off, I laugh at the Parnas motion to modify his bail, with this line - “modification of the terms of his pre-trial release, to allow him to leave his home daily from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, provided that he avoids airports, boat docks or train terminals” - Those are now the only ways to leave the country??

Second, doesn't this sound a bit like Manafort?? Agreeing to cooperate, then screwing it up by not understanding the government definition of "cooperation", which is, essentially, we OWN your ass....

I include the 10 page SDNY filing, for you legal beagles out there...

Finally, on a personal note, I would feel sad if "Sputnik Goon #1" is popped in jail early (again, like Manafort) and isn't allowed to spend more time with his fairly hot wife, Svetlana....

Are Lev's bail days coming to an end?

More selective prosecution from SDNY. When is the DOJ going after Brennan who lied to Congress under oath about the dossier?

Parnas was funneling money illegally into republican campaigns, and he also got a million bucks from Russia.
Pretty clear why the gop won’t hold trump accountable, they’re bought off by Russian donations.

That was so before they wanted to really Impeach Trump.. Forgotten is the Pakistani hackers hired by multiple Dems including the former DNC head Little Debbie.

    :roflol:

    "But...But...Brennan..." :roflol:

Totally IMMATERIAL (And, Off-Topic) to the Current OP Subject.

That said, feel free to start a thread about Brennan.

Back to the Actual OP Topic:

This sounds like a great move on the part of the Prosecutors.

Parnas definitely seems like an Extreme Flight Risk.:salute:

Let’s see what he can prove. We already know he was in contact with Rudy and Devin. And that he got money from Russia and funneled illegal donations to republicans.

As part of an agreement with prosecutors, Imran Awan pleaded guilty to a relatively minor offense unrelated to his work on Capitol Hill: making a false statement on a bank loan application. U.S. prosecutors said they would not recommend jail time.

But the agreement included an unusual passage that described the scope of the investigation and cleared Awan of a litany of conspiracy theories promulgated on Internet blogs, picked up by right-leaning news sites and fanned by Trump on Twitter.

    But, that begs the question:

After Durham's Indictments put "Half of the Dem. Party in Cuffs", will there be any jail space left over to arrest Feinstein?I

In any event, this topic is getting hijacked.

Back to the OP, I agree with the Prosecutor's Idea that Parnas is an Extreme Flight Risk.

Your Chinese overlords don't want her to leave yet. Odd, one of yours has Chinese spies in her employ, and you folks always side with the Chinese when it comes to trade disputes. Coincidence???? :)
