It's hiding extortion by a leftist with an accusation of abuse of power by an American.

Similar to hiding violations of the Espionage Act by a leftist by launching a $40M investigation of an opposing campaign of an American.

Quite a mystery. Adam Schiff had claimed to have seen evidence that proved without doubt that Trump colluded with Putin, but never presented it. I guess the evidence is still in a filing cabinet in his office.

All these people need to be investigated or indicted for holding back vital evidence that each claimed to possess. It is, after all, in the nation's vital interests.

That is false, and this isn't about a President we had three years ago. Constantly bringing up Obama when discussing Trump's impeachment is a sure sign of weakness.

A review of a tiny fraction of the evidence against Trump. Trump fans have tendency to forget.

“I would like you to do us a favor, though.”

This is from the transcript of the July 25 phone call between Trump and Zelensky. It was provided by the White House. The following is a quote from Trump.

Good because I· heard you had a prosecutor who· was very good and he was shut down and that's really unfair. A lot of people are talking about that, the way they shut your very good prosecutor down and you had some very bad people involved. Mr. Giuliani is a highly respected man. He was the mayor bf New York City, a great mayor, and I would like him to call you. I will ask him to call you along with the Attorney General.· :Rudy very much knows what's happening and he is a very capable guy. If you could speak to him that would be great. The former ambassador from the United States,· the woman., was bad news and the people she was dealing with in.the Ukraine.were bad news so I jtist want to_let you know that. The other thing, there's a lot of.talk about Biden's son,. that Biden stopped the prosecution and a lot of people want to find out about that so whatever you can do with the Attorney General would be great.Biden went around bragging that he stopped the prosecution so if you ·can look into it ... It sounds horrible to me.

“What you’re describing is a quid pro quo,” asserted a reporter. “We do that all the time,” replied [Trump's chief of staff] Mulvaney. “Did he also mention to me the corruption related to the DNC server? Absolutely. No question about it. But that’s it. That’s why we held up the money … I have news for everybody: Get over it. There’s going to be political influence in foreign policy.” http://nymag.com/intelligencer/2019/10/mulvaney-ukraine-get-over-it.html

After the July 25 phone call with Zelensky, as he usually does, Trump doubled down on the Biden investigation. On Oct. 3, in a news conference on the White House lawn, he called on Ukraine and China to look into former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter.

“If they were honest about it, they would start a major investigation into the Bidens,” Trump said when asked what he wanted Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky to do about the former veep and his son.

“They should investigate the Bidens,” Trump said. “Likewise, China should start an investigation into the Bidens, because what happened in China is just about as bad as what happened with Ukraine.”

LOL, so a quid pro quo with only one of the two. Fascinating.

The same guy who said Guam might capsize into the ocean just said Trump should be impeached for being too tall.

This guy is member of the US Congress.

What I find weird is that if Sandy had proof of Trump Colluding with Putin to affect the outcome of the 2016 election then why didn't he go to Mueller with it?

Trump's fans can't deal with the evidence against Trump, so they manufacture what others say.

I never said I had proof of collusion. Trump wasn't smart enough to conspire with the Russians. Trump's impeachment is not about Russia, collusion, or the Mueller Report.

These two keep getting it wrong. They must not be listening.

There are only two Articles of Impeachment, and neither has to do with quid pro quo, bribery, or extortion. The House leadership wanted to keep it simple and focus on the two obvious impeachment offenses, abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.

Today/s hearings were a colossal waste of time.

Democrats got up and stated why Trump had to be impeached. Republicans got up and stated why he should not be impeached and/or requested amendments. All of the amendments, were, of course, voted down by the democratic majority. However, the members got their few minutes of fame. Nothing new or different was presented by either side.

All of this for what purpose? For an impeachment which will be approved by the majority. It will go to the senate where it will be voted down.

The purpose, of course, is to convince the American people not to vote for Trump in 2020. It appears to be having the opposite effect. Polls indicate that more and more people oppose the impeachment. I can't believe I watched that much to realize it is only a colossal waste of time.

Yeah, no evidence. What's obvious about a general charge with nothing to back it up except dem butt hurt? The second is laughable since the dem clown show shelved their subpoena's and can't even wait for the one in court that will be decided in January.

The great thing is that since the highly partisan dems will pass this no matter how devious it is, they will lose control of the narrative once it gets to the Senate.

    Heh!

After two years of nonstop "Russia Russia Russia!" bleating, suddenly "I never said I had proof of collusion. Trump wasn't smart enough to conspire with the Russians."

So in two months you'll be all Trump wasn't smart enough to conspire with the Ukrainians, lets move on to this brand new conspiracy theory...

But Adam Schiff did say he had seen proof of collusion. Still waiting...

Only a few weeks ago they ran a marketing focus group to decide which charge they should bring which would sound the most egregious to the public. The answer, and all they talked about for a few days, was "bribery". They thought the American public is too stupid to understand what quid pro quo means. I guess they decided they couldn't pull off bribery either, just like everything else. There is nothing "obvious" about the meaning of "abuse of power" or "obstruction of Congress". Perhaps they are abusing their power, running a partisan effort to unseat a duly-elected president and obstructing Congress from getting any real work done on behalf of the country.

They have ended up with fuzzy, ambiguous charges.

No matter. One of the Republicans yesterday said that Schiff had told him that after the Senate acquits Trump, Democrats will continue investigating and impeaching, impeaching, impeaching. I guess they need the practice. They aren't very good at it and look like amateurs so far. But perhaps they are better at running a partisan impeachment show than they are at doing their jobs of legislating.
