    The point of course is that the internet is dominated by far left entrepreneurs. So if it be destroyed at all, an at best 50/50 proposition it is these self described leftist that are doing it not capitalism.

    Why do you feel the left are such leaders in such industry? I hear the same with social media, the news, tech, search engines, most fortune 500 companies... why are conservatives so unable to compete in a society that they have shaped?

    Damn hard to compete against a hardened and entrenched Monopoly. The funny thing is that people like Lizzie Warren are about to sabotage their biggest ally and don't even know their doing it.

    Except the internet has only gotten better over time, not worse. More people have access to the internet now than at any point in history. Average internet speeds are faster now that at any point in history. The amount of data that the average user downloads and uploads is larger than at any point in history. Maybe you should base your opinion on reality instead of speculative fearmongering.

    Internet service providers have never done that before, so why would they suddenly start doing it? And in case you were wondering, your speculative imaginings do not count as evidence.

    The internet as it currently exists was built and paid for almost entirely by private industry.

    The biggest obstacle to competition among internet service providers are all the regulations and taxes placed on any company that wants to provide internet. The amount of money that is needed to invest in providing commercial internet is wildly cost prohibitive. And there is no reason why that should be. Running wiring to and from residential and commercial buildings is not that complicated of a process.

    But leftist are supposed be such caring folk that they harm people just for profit. By the way I don't think the internet's being destroyed by anything or any one it seems quite healthy to me.
