Nope...don't want to imagine that. Like you said, it's one of the sublime joys of living in colder climes.
Definitely an acquired taste! Pretty sure I wasn't a huge fan on my first sip. I also think context plays a big part. I would probably hate it anywhere/anytime but evening in front of roaring fire.
Used to enjoy a quart draft glass of Spaten Optimator after every shift in the kitchen at a sports bar, ages ago. On the house! A dark German beer of 8% Alc.
You on your ass! 37 bears on tap, all half price after my 2 free pints. Woke up on the golf course, between there and my house once, fortunately I only drove a bicycle and Lord looks after fools and drunks...ahh..to be 22 again...!
Beer but not anything from bud, Miller, or coors. Generally some sort of hop forward beer but not necessarily to an IPA level.
well, its official, I've switched from irish whiskey to scotch. my dad may be a bit disappointed, but I like the peat, damnit!
When I did drink it was either Kentucky Bourbon or a stout IPA...usually Sierra Nevada IPA or Torpedo.
