Yeah, those immigrant women and children are really scary

And believing there are billions of "invaders" at our borders is laughably paranoid

You are mocking a POV without establishing your facts.
I find it scary when Sydney and Melbourne in particular had to house
and feed tens of thousands of immigrants when it couldn't do much
for native born Australians. And the estimates of two million on the
way within three years was quite sobering. The graphs show that
this figure would balloon to twenty million within another five years
if the rate continued. And there's a lot of people in India, Pakistan,
China, Sri Lanka, the Middle East, Africa etc who would gladly pay
some human trafficker to get them to a Western country. Wouldn't you?

Yep, billions of scary foreigners on our border ready to invade and go onto welfare (which they don't qualify for).

    Wow!

    Wonder how you sleep

I slept easy. I could see ordinary Australians were getting angry.
It was becoming a political liability for the Labor Party.
None of the nations these fake refugees came from were at war,
nor would they allow mass immigration into their own country (ie think
    Mexico)
And also, the death toll was mounting and becoming a humanitarian
issue. The figure was 1% drowning. Doesn't sound much but with
20,000 "refugees" in a single year that's 200 dead people.

So how many immigrants drown every year trying to cross Mexican border?

    Billions?

Didnt realize that was a huge issue?

    And so the argument shifts.
The USA does not have to take every person in Central and South America
because their own nations have failed. Save for the drug issue - none of this
failure has anything to do with America.
Nor does America have to take anyone from Asia, Europe or Africa. We love
to hate America - and want to go live there because, as one Indian put it, "In
America even the poor are fat."

Migrated to America during the Cromwell persecution.
We are related to Quanah Parker, the Comanche.
We left America after the Civil War.
