This is why children need to learn it's not ok to harm someone because they think differently then you. Putting the blame of this crime on someone simply wearing a hat is pretty atrocious. Which is what you are doing when you say HIS behavior should change to alleviate the problem.

The story says the kid was assaulted and sent to the hospital because of the hat. Now if you want to continue to argue that, then contact the family of the victim and the people who wrote the story.
