Remember how Comey jumped on the I.G. report last week as somehow exonerating him and his FBI? Apparently he finally got around to reading it and then listening to Horowitz's testimony and now suddenly he is backtracking.

    https://www.nationalreview.com/news...oppiness-distances-himself-from-russia-probe/

So Comey's new position is that he personally was a rank incompetent who was too busy courting leftist politicians to pay attention to a probe launched against the staff of Donald Trump WITH Obama demanding to be kept informed of all the developing nuances. Yeah . . . Comey . . . good luck with that.

Comey could be a good person if he would stop thinking he is God without a moral compass.

I think Comey was a little worried before this. He hired an attorney just in case he had to be a witness.

Former FBI Director James Comey has hired former U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald to help him prepare for his possible role as a potential witness in an obstruction case against Donald Trump should charges be brought against the president by FBI special counsel Robert Mueller, Talking Points Memo reports.

As I said in another thread, Comey would have to completely ignorant of probability or a liar. The chances of all seventeen of those errors being in one direction are the same as flipping a coin seventeen times and it coming up heads every time. The odds of that happening is one in 130,072.

I will further clarify what that means. You would have flip a coin seventeen times and call that one "set of flips". You would have to do 130,072 "sets of flips". That would require 2,228,224 coin flips before the odds would be even that you would get all heads in one set of coin flips in one of those sets of seventeen.

The modern Left -- and leftist or RINO Comey is one of theirs -- has got no use for a Moral Compass as it tends to get in the way of accomplishing goals via the path of the Ends Justifies the Means.

He knows that he has just entered a world of legal hurt since now he can be sued by some of the very people he caused to be ILLEGALLY spied upon and investigated.

Although a massive egotist Comey is not also an idiot and so he understood that when Horowitz began this investigation that eventually all of the FISA abuse -- which Comey signed off on -- would surface. It's all just gotten very real for Comey and the rest of the upper level rats who agreed to try and destroy Trump for Obama's and Hillary's sake.

I noticed today that enough people have finally digested and absorbed the meaning of the I.G. report to comprehend that only an adherence to legal technical definitions prevented Horowitz from stating that 'Yes, there was an upper level conspiracy to Get Trump.' So now the collective Left gets to decide whether it actually was a breathtaking degree of sloppiness and outright incompetence from high level FBI agents OR a deliberate politically partisan effort to destroy Trump.

It will actually be US Attorney John Durham that will decide. And the decision will be either to indict or not. Durham has much more investigative power than Horowitz.

Precisely. Hopefully Durham can deliver. I suspect that there is enough evidence for him to indict several key players at this point. Whether or not any of them see jail time as a result, I couldn't say. I will be surprised, however, if some of these heroes of the political Left don't end up in a world of legal hurt.

Comey is excusing himself with the same excuses he used to excuse Hillary. Typical arrogant elite. Both Hillary and Comey should do some time.

Remember a week ago when media/Comey spin was that IG report "vindicated" FBI? Even the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, which can never be bothered to be concerned about such things, much less publicly, has weighed in harshly against FBI.

And of course the most glaring lie was about the difficulty of getting a FISA warrant where investigative officers are granted a warrant 99% of the time. In fact it appears more difficult not to get one than to get one.

The FBI was turned down on the first try until they included the dossier.

Which says something about how awfully thin their evidence was without the lying dossier

All involved should be VERY worried. Impeachment vote tomorrow? If only you could take it back. Trump isn't going to just brush it off. The Trump DOJ is about to unleash hell fire on these rats.

This will be the first President to face impeachment without a high crime or misdemeanor as an article of impeachment.

Instead they are relying on what they call 'a pattern' based on 'intent'.

The FISA court has slammed the FBI for their many errors in the FISA application. Now they are wondering how many of the other applications were tainted. Despite what Comey said, FISA applications are seldom disapproved.

I doubt he's worried. One obvious truth he told is that no matter what happened under his watch, no matter how many times he lied or withheld exculpatory evidence, and no matter how many times he signed off on fisa warrants, he's not going to prison.

The fisa judges he lied to don't care, and that's a bigger problem than comey. That court is above the law, Comey is above the law, and every morning he wakes up in his own bed in his own jam-jams is proof that there's a much deeper problem that isn't going to be addressed.

For some reason Horowitz forgot to include that tidbit in his I.G. report while claiming that there was no evidence of a conspiracy.
