AOC: Capitalism is Irredeemable

The middle class of the past included a 1100 square foot post war home, a car most likely used, a single TV and dinner on the table. THAT was considered middle class.

What has changed isnt our wealth or class distinction, it's our perception.

Conservative Talking Point #4: You need to pull yourself up by the bootstraps if you want to be successful.

Conservative Talking Point #5: AOC was a bartender in college! Who does she think she is running for Congress and winning? No one who has worked such a menial job deserves to be elected. That's why we only elect TV game show hosts, failed Hollywood actors, and bumbling nepotistic Texans.

 

I think it's a good thing that Americans fear a neo commie takeover. When you vote neo coms into power they are generally hard to get out of it.

You got one thing wrong. The TV dinner was probably on a folding tray in front of the TV.

 

Once mom had to start working to afford all this rampant capitalism....

 

Mom supported us as a teacher and I remember watching Star Trek in black and white eating a lasagna TV dinner in aluminum tray on a fiberglass folding tray every Thursday night. The highlight of my week.

 

They ALL (corps, and individuals) think socialism will hurt someone else, never themselves.

The logic in that is about what you'd expect from a three year old. The three year old doesn't understand that in wanting his toyless friend to have just as many toys as he has, means giving the friend half his toys. The three year old always assumes that someone 'up there' will sort it out, while he gets to continue on with a surfeit of toys.

They are the most ardent capitalists of all of us.

 

What's really happening is that they just declare themselves socialists (while actually being capitalist fundies) because they think it makes them appear 'compassionate'.

 

The middle classes were (and still are) defined by their financial position, not their home/car. EG, a century old 800 square foot house in an expensive area, says far more about your status than a brand new 4000 square footer in a less expensive area.

 

I remember watching The Flintstones in prime time and eating a Salisbury Steak Swanson's TV Dinner while my mom studied for nursing school.

The first type are hardcore anti capitalist totalitarians who hate America and attack every aspect of American life in their quest to take over America and fundamentally transform it into a global socialist police state run by oligarchs out of Europe.

The second are useful idiots who believe and repeat the propaganda of the first. They are basically ignorant tools who don't know what capitalism, communism or socialism is.

 

Middle class is defined by wealth, including assets.

What is perceived as middle class today is much different than the past.

In essence, the goal posts have been moved based on an arbitrary standard of living to claim we are losing our middle class, which simply isnt the case.
