Believing they had stopped a stolen car after a miles-long pursuit, two California sheriff's deputies tried to arrest a carjacking victim, who died after the encounter in which one deputy appears to slam the man's skull into a car door and put him in a neck hold as the other deputy twice deployed his Taser.

    Wow. :smh:

Another case of Cops doing that "Cold-Blooded Murder" thing.

And, the person killed was the VICTIM of the Carjacking.

What is it with Cops these days?

Do they have any respect for human life at all?

Hopefully this Cop gets a Murder Charge and at least 20 years in prison.

Is there more to the story?...OR...

Was this just another case of "Cops Being Cops?"

    Thoughts?

Why on earth would the guy run?

The poor police, out there trying to make snap decisions in the interests of public safety, can only interpret that one way - and that's DANGER.

"It remains a mystery as to why he fled from our deputies."

    Yup.

What a mystery? Why didn't he stop?

Still, the Cop MURDERING him seems excessive (to say the least).

Because cops arrest criminals and the left needs their votes.

In other words, all you have for "rebuttal" is "Whatboutism"?:smh:

My heart goes out to the victim and I hope this Cop faces justice.

The mystery of why the victim fled will (most likely) never be known.

And all you have is whataboutism. The next time you’re being attacked or in danger, then call an illegal or refugee and hope for the best.

I disagree with your remark about it being just the "left".

However to address the larger issue:

IF Police DON'T want to be "portrayed in a negative light", I would suggest that they remain vigilant and not allow those sort of situations (as in the OP) to happen in the first place.

    ^Problem solved.

Did you post in the thread about 13 people being shot in Chicago over the weekend and 7 more in Baltimore? Oh, that’s right, you did, and you felt perfectly safe in Chicago where the only weapons you saw were worn by the cops who didn’t murder you in cold blood. Should I quote it for you?

Bad Cops. People do all sorts of things in duress if you are not used to high adrenaline situations. The cops should be fired and tried in court. You can't do this crap. Even if they caught the right guy, they went way too far.

    I know.

And, you make a great point.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out in the courts.

Definitely one to keep an eye on.

Illegals do worse than that all the time. That being said, it was wrong, just like the dirty cops behind the Deep State coup attempt.

I wouldn't go quite that far:

That said, I hope the county in question does a thorough investigation of this egregious conduct.

Sounds accidental, in a panic. Still not good, but these guys have a very difficult job, and they're human.

From reading the link, there was meth in the guy's system, he led them on a chase, and he bit both officers. It doesn't sound to me like they were trying to kill him. The autopsy report may be able to tell why he died.

Because he was confronted by people who, exercising poor judgment and a tendency to violence, might be out to murder him. Perhaps he was running from the carjacker who maybe threatened to hold the passenger hostage.

Why are police so easily forgiven their rash actions but private citizens are blamed for being irrational?

You mean in all the needlessly double spaced commentary and subsequent posts OP "forgot" to mention the meth and biting the cops? I'm shocked, shocked I tell you.

When are they ever going to learn to stop pissing away any small shred of credibility they may have left with the constant slant? It's as if they think they are still operating in a total media hegemony in the net age.

BTW, OP, CNN is not a credible source of anything any more other than an insomnia cure in airports. May as well cite to vox or talking points memo... or Weekly World News.
