It has been experimented with, briefly, before -- as you know, back in 1939, with the "Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact". And if Hitler hadn't STUPIDLY invaded Russia in June 1941, breaking the non-aggression treaty with Stalin, Germany would have easily gone on to defeat England, and the 'European War' would have ended.

There would have been no collusion between Churchill and Roosevelt to cut off natural resources and oil to Japan, and no subsequent Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. There would have been no "World War II", and approximately 460,000 American military personnel would not have been killed. Millions of Germans and millions of Russians would not have been killed, either.

Germany wants what any other nation wants... to be able to purchase vitally-important energy resources at the lowest price possible, and under the most favorable terms and conditions. I still don't see what's "wrong" with that....

If it would be dramatically less expensive for Germany to buy liquefied natural gas from the U. S., don't you think they would?! Still, the large cost-delta notwithstanding, Germany would only buy a maximum of 30% of all their natural gas requirement from Russia.... Why are we rubbing the Germans' noses in sh*t because of this...? Because they 'lost the war' and so they have to do whatever we tell them to do?
