We have some feral hogs on our place.. We saw evidence where they were rooting for the peanuts that weren't harvested. Strangest think they rutted a perfect trench. He/she did a good job of looking for the peanuts.

The thought of starting a New Year has always been exciting to me. The only problem I have is writing 2020 after the date.

    Confirming my suspicions...

The only purpose for these so-called "holidays" is as a subversive plot to obtain paid time off from work.

I can't wait for you all to get back out there and pay your taxes.

    Thank you for your support!

Is the Holiday over yet.? Sometimes it tends to linger around like
    a stray cat.I don't mind an occasional Holiday.But let's get Real.
Every doggone year.Sometimes there's Christmas in July.
My true joy was watching - The Apartment - { 1960 }.From the opening
Score I knew I was in for a treat. That Score was made for Greatness.
I'm not a big Shirley MacLaine fan.Jack lemmon is among one of my top
5 actors.Fred McMurray was fantastic as the cold-hearted,manipulating
Boss who gets his commeupance in the final scene.Every year Shirley
MacLaine looks better and I pick up a few more qualities in her great
performance.I was soured to find out that in real life she was not an
admirer of Jack Lemmon.Said she preferred actors like Robert Mitchum and
Danny Kaye because they were dangerous and complicated.
Some galsy are like that.Until one day they find out what being a
    " Mensch " really involves.Burt Reynolds was not a " mensch " actor.
Paul Muni was the stereotypical example of a " mensch ": actor.
Maybe a little bit of Steve McQueen.Jimmy Stewart was a " mensch " actor.
James Dean could have been the greatest of " mensch " actors.
As far as gal actors ... Not many " mensch " to my knowledge.Maybe
only Audrey Hepburn.Plus of course Doris Day.
To be a " Mensch " involves being a Decent responsible human being
with admirable traits.Being an actor sometimes involves being less that
human. You'll notice that the Academy Awards usually tend to reward those
possessing admirable qualities in a movie role.

I saw a scene last week. Not one of Stewarts's best by far.The Movie before
    that was close to great.It was - It Hapenned on Fifth Avenue - { 1947 }
Haven't seen in such a long time I hardly remembered. It was really good.
    Old Fashioned movie with a Very wealthy guy { Owner of a big company }
who passes himself off as a homeless bum.He gets taken in by a Family
who are very wealthy and have a butler.Charles Ruggles plays the lead.
I always liked Ruggles. The screenplay is well written and predictably 40'ish.
As far as respecting ones elders and especially The Boss. The movie flows.
Meaning it goes from scene to scene and makes sense and holds one attention.
I Have just started a new Movie - Frantic - { 2019 } with John Travolta and it starts
out pretty weak.I was about to stop watching when it started to pick up.
That was roughly halfway thru.So it best not fall flat.I will get back later tonight
    and give an appraisal.

Not the yard, it is the field down by the creek we often see signs of feral hogs, coyotes, deer, coons, turkeys and bob cats. The hog/hogs just wanted a snack. Hogs can really mess up a field when they are searching for food.

I missed spelled. It was - The Fanatic -. It's a base example of the state of
movies today. It's basically worthless. No redeeming value or even suspense.
Somewhat predictably prone to gruesomeness as a way to attach a storyline.
The worst example of Moviemaking. At least - Hellraiser - held real suspense
and chills.Even the sequel - Hellraiser II - was interesting.
This is Travolta's pathetic attempt at being like Tom Hanks in - Forrest Gump -
and Dustin Hoffman in - Rainman -.
Meaning a definite mentally challenged individual who may mean
    well,just manifestly misunderstood.

Texas has the best of both worlds the javelina and the feral hogs both will kill or injure.
A few months back we saw a sow with her babies crossing the clearing headed for the woods. I stay out of their way, a sow with piglets is a dangerous animal. People should always keep their distance especially when a wild animal is near.

Strange as it may seem, I would rather have a cornfed tame pig than a feral pig. A neighbor gave me some sausage made from a feral hog...I couldn't eat it. The idea of eating an animal that might have consumed another animal is not my idea of a meal to eat.

you'd think 'someone' would get a grant to catch 'em and feed the hungry/homeless, same for most nuisance animals, although i'm sure there's an 'entity' or three that won't allow it (fda)
