    Nope. About people being killed.
    How "rational".

You're just clinging to your own wild goose chase here trying to find some win in that there indeed was a mass killing with a knife.
I'm not seeing any grounds that this is somewhere remotely on par with the amount of people killed by gunfire in the US.
I already sourced that the UK, being the most violent country of the EU, has 4 times less homicides compared to the US.

Never mind the amount of mass murder our government would have to do in order to confiscate our guns. For MILLIONS of Americans, that is a right that they are willing to fight to the death to preserve. Liberals do not understand this.

If incidents that happened over six years ago are no longer relevant for discussion, incidents such as Columbine and Sandy Hook, and their respective body counts, are no longer relevant to any discussion.

Your entire point about knifes is that countries with tougher gun laws don't have less homicides because people will simply grab a knife. When comparing the US with other western nations with tough gun laws the conclusion still is that they have far less homicides. So your point is mute.

So we're back to that it's not wanted that people get massacred by gun violence.
There is also a majority in the US who wants more gun controle.
We got other western nations that have more gun controle and less homicides.
Well... how difficult is it to connect the dots?

Oh, you mean Russia has a different culture than we do? Maybe that would explain the higher murder rate. Fine, you win. The US is at the bottom of the list (once you explain away all the countries that are worse).

Hence we compare western nations who are alike with each other. And that shows the US being at the total bottom of the list. Their gun laws are lousy compared to other western countries.

Yeh, well Ronnie Barrett fixed that by wildcatting the .50 BMG to a .416. In some respects it’s a better round than the .50 Cal. Just a barrel change and that .50 is legal and improved!

Generally speaking, countries that are heavily Catholic have higher crime rates and are more corrupt than the Protestant countries. You can do your own research on that if you want to.

My guess is with the shooter that took down this mad dog with a head shot. Nice aim.

Pistols typically have a mortality rate around 20%. 80% of people survive being shot with one.

Long guns (rifles/shotguns) have a mortality rate around 80%. 20 percent survive.

The murderer fired twice and killed 2.

I wonder why it is legal under Texas law?

Sec. 46.04. UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF FIREARM. (a) A person who has been convicted of a felony commits an offense if he possesses a firearm:

    (1) after conviction and before the fifth anniversary of the person's release from confinement following conviction of the felony or the person's release from supervision under community supervision, parole, or mandatory supervision, whichever date is later; or

    (2) after the period described by Subdivision (1), at any location other than the premises at which the person lives.

    (b) A person who has been convicted of an offense under Section 22.01, punishable as a Class A misdemeanor and involving a member of the person's family or household, commits an offense if the person possesses a firearm before the fifth anniversary of the later of:

    (1) the date of the person's release from confinement following conviction of the misdemeanor; or

    (2) the date of the person's release from community supervision following conviction of the misdemeanor.

Irrelevant - it is illegal under federal law.

Who cares? The jurors can vote not guilty if they believe in freedom and liberty and value their state Constitution that gives more rights to the people than the federal Constitution does. There is no way I would convict such a defendant because some federal anal retentives thinks that he shouldn't have a gun. If people want freedom and liberty then they have to give it to themselves or else they won't have any.

I said that ex-felons can possess guns in Texas. I never said that the killer could.

Nor did you mention what record he had or how old. He was violating existing laws. No new laws would have done a thing. Except be ignored by the shooter. Just like he ignored laws about shooting random people.
