You will notice that there are reports that the reason why he was in Iran was for talks on a de-escalation which the Saud's had asked for and which the US was aware of - possibly be a part of and if this is the reason he was killed I do not know where the US will go on the scale of out of control states. It is one of those situations where if they have nothing to hide they had better show.

He was not a terrorist. He was an enemy of the US who wore the uniform and was a representative of a soveign state. He is not leading men on civilian targets. There is a civil war in Iraq, this is just a case of one side calling the opposition terrorists. He fought against the same guys that we want defeated. Isis, Alqueada, the Taliban. now that those are defeated in Iraq his next goal was the puppet government installed by the US.
