John Bolton willing to testify in Trump's impeachment trial

“Since my testimony is once again at issue, I have had to resolve the serious competing issues as best I could, based on careful consideration and study,” Bolton says.

Former national security adviser John Bolton said that he would testify if he is subpoenaed as part of the Senate’s impeachment trial of President Donald Trump.

In a statement posted online, Bolton, who was asked to testify as part of the House's impeachment inquiry but did not, said he wants to meet his “obligations” both as a citizen and as a former top presidential adviser.

Amid the clashes between McConnell and Schumer, Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) has refused to formally transmit the impeachment articles to the Senate. The House impeached Trump on Dec. 18, but Pelosi has said she wants to wait until the parameters of the Senate trial become clearer. Senators expect Pelosi to send the articles later this week.

I have a lot to say about John Bolton changing his tune but I'll just sum it up with one picture.

Its a public relations move, he has his book coming out soon. He knows McConnell will not allow it.

I doubt the senate is interested in his testimony but you might consider revving up the house for another article of impeachment or two. Or you can just save his testimony for Russia collusion v. 3.0.

A little history about John Bolton's intentions towards Iran. John Bolton was appointed as National Security Advisor in March 2018. From the start, John Bolton promised a regime change in Iran by the end of 2018, so that's where his mindset was, to overthrow the current regime in Iran.

When Trump was a presidential candidate, one of his main foreign affairs campaign promises was to withdraw from the deal, because he claimed it was "a disaster, worst deal ever". In keeping with his campaign promise and just two months after John Bolton's appointment and pledge to disrupt the regime in Iran, Trump announced that the US was withdrawing from the JCPOA (Iran nuclear deal). The reason for the withdrawal is cloudy at best. Iran had been in complete compliance.

Bolton’s appointment, along with the nomination of Iran deal critic Mike Pompeo as secretary of state, seemed to signal that the agreement would most likely be “dead and buried” within months. Trita Parsi, leader of the National Iranian American Council wrote on Twitter: “People, let this be very clear: The appointment of Bolton is essentially a declaration of war with Iran. With Pompeo and Bolton, Trump is assembling a WAR CABINET.”

Harsh sanctions were imposed on Iran. This was part of Bolton's plan to make the people of Iran suffer and turn against the regime in Iran. It was working. People that were feeling the effects of the sanctions with failing businesses and exorbitant cost of imported goods from other countries that weren't part of the sanctions created unrest, exactly as Pompeo and Bolton wanted. They wanted that regime change in Iran at any cost, even at the cost of human suffering in Iran. People in Iran started to protest and civil unrest was beginning. That all changed when Iran's top military general was assassinated.

Now, there's no protesting of the Iranian government by Iranian citizens. Now, there's been a massive galvanizing of the Iranian people. They're united now like never before. This mess all lays at the feet of John Bolton who spent the better part of ten years calling for the US to overthrow the Iran government.

I don't care what John Bolton has to say and I hope his wish to be subpoenaed doesn't happen. I'd prefer to hear from Mike Pompeo or Mick Mulvaney. They're all conniving pieces of crap in my opinion.
