That accident was caused by the first drive coming to a complete stop in the middle of the road.

As far as this incident goes, attempted murder is not an appropriate "lesson" for a misdemeanor. The attempted murderer needs to learn a much harder lesson.

We've already been over that part. I corrected it to attempted murder. #catchup #readingcomprehensionfailofyourown

And he stopped because a snowball hit the bus. He would have not slammed on the breaks had a snowball hit the bus. Do you not get it? I most certainly do not think it is an appropriate way to teach kids, but do stupid things and stupid things happen to you.

Yet you ignore the stupidest action taken in this story. Funny, that.

What exactly did ignore. Guy shooting gun stupid, kids throwing snowballs at cars stupid. Not really a lot of things to ignore.

Kids shouldn't break things in department stores either, but someone shoots a kid over breaking a toy in a department store, anyone who quibbles about "well, they both did something wrong I guess" has a seriously messed up sense of values.

    Aren't you cute. #imitationisthebestformofflattery
You were corrected multiple times, yet still never swallowed your pride and edited your post. Now your reading comprehension fail is there for all eternity because you've probably run out of time to edit. Aww, too bad.

I missed the story about a kid who broke a toy and got shot. Where was that in this thread?
Do you see any good coming out of standing on the street and throwing snowballs at cars? I don't. Lots of stupid in this whole story. And I made myself clear the guy shooting is the stupidest. But come on control your kids already.

I was corrected once and immediately acknowledged it. I didn't change the post because someone had already quoted me and pointed out the error, which I acknowledged. Editing the post after the error had already been pointed out, quoted (psst, that means it was already 'there for all eternity" whether I edited it or not), and acknowledged it seemed petty. I did, however, have edit a second post where I made the same mistake: post #17.

Can I assume you will now be swallowing your pride?

So it's a difference that really doesn't make a difference It's funny how your blaming the gun owner but not the kids that's telling. Here's a rule of thumb don't vandalize people's cars

Fake argument on so, so many counts.

    1) Yes, it makes a difference because it eviscerates your excuse for the actual attempted murder. You said someone can die if hit in the head by a snowball with ice in it. How are they going to be hit in the head inside the cab of the car? If you don't think that makes a difference, you don't know how objects work.

    2) I specifically said what the kids did was wrong. Stop making **** up.

    3) Don't vandalize people's cars. Good rule. So is this one: Don't try to murder children. Not sure why you find that one so controversial.

Don't attempt to vandalize somebody's car and you don't get assaulted or shot and not that hard of a concept to get

Attempted murder is worse than attempting to hit a car with a snowball that could theoretically/possibly/maybe chip some paint.

The kids would deserve a grounding and a stern talking to by the police. This dude, on the other hand, deserves to be locked up. He is, by every rational measure, a greater threat to society.

No really. You gave the "magic snowball" defense and kept trying to defend the attempted murder of children, but you didn't actually address the points made.

So this is the sentence you need. Children have no business throwing snowballs at cars. Parents ought to be teaching them not to throw snowballs at cars, and they should ensure there are consequences to throwing snowballs at cars. Okay I wrote the obligatory sentences for every poster to copy and paste. Now can we discuss how we hold the guy shooting at kids to consequences, or do you have something else incredibly obvious you want us all to say before we do?

I may be wrong but I don't recall anyone saying the guy who did the shooting was not wrong. Let's find him and throw his ass in jail, I am with you. What people are saying is the kids were up to no good and should not have been throsnowballs. And the stern talking to, really? That is why kids feel they can do whatever they want. And throwing snowballs at movtraffic is dangerous and could lead to an accident, which I have already proven could happen.

Milwaukie has an ordinance that bans the throwing of snowballs on city streets, we see how well that worked.
