And do you think Russia and China can sit back and allow that to happen ? And if Iran continues
to experience the existential threats of Nuclear annihilation from these Lawless Criminals as they
have in the past - They will be left with no option but to develop such weapons. Iran, Russia and
China will now be driven closer together. And you can - EXPECT them to help in Iran's defense,
if such a case arises. And such a circumstance now stands a good chance of doing just that .

Trump, Pence, and Pompeo -- along with pretty much the entire American political and media culture on both sides of the isle -- lie constantly about Iran, not just General Soleimani. While those closest to Israel, and with the most strident pro Israel positions, have made lying a habit which they want to insist on others, the issue is even more endemic to the American political culture. Those lies aren't as much a concern to me anymore (as some of it will simply be exposed by the force of events) but they should be a concern to Americans who don't want a government corrupted by liars. One which insists that liars be promoted and those who want to tell the truth sidelined. That dynamic, and what it entails, is the greatest corruption in American politics. Even more corrupting than the strictly economic issues many in the left are focused on.

 

The flaw in the nuclear agreement reached with Iran was that at some future point
Iran could continue with its nuclear weapons program. That was Israel's main sticking
point.
The issue for Russia and China SHOULD BE that if Iran gets the bomb then so too
does its Sunni enemies in the Middle East. That is the end of the nuclear non-proliferation
treaty. Same for allowing North Korea to develop the bomb also means that Japan, Taiwan,
Sth Korea etc break out of the treaty too. And these nations are enemies to Russia and
China.

It's the big picture here.

As for "assassinating" - that's a tricky word as Iran has been fighting wars against its
neighbors for some time. This guy was the number one General for these proxy wars
in Yemen, Saudi Arabia, the gulf, Lebanon, Syria and Israel. This can hardly be called
a peace-time "assassination," more like a casualty of the wars he loved fighting.

 

The main guy tasked with defending Iran's national security meets with top Iraqi military officials on his way to meet with the Iraqi PM to start deescalation talks with Saudi Arabia instigated by the US. As he leaves the airport he, along with the Iraqi officers he met up with, is assassinated. Yes, it's the same.

I didn't say the US and company don't have the diplomatic muscle to put someone who is fighting their attempts to impose hegemony on the region on a 'no-fly' list.
