    Hyperbole much?:bored:

The topic of THIS Thread is Donald Trump.

And, you just posted 4 sentences without even mentioning Trump?

    Off topic, much?:bored:

Anyway, back to the Actual OP Topic:

Trump Constant Stream of LIES knows no end, and Trump is a DISGRACE to the Presidency.

Still, it won't cost him one vote (among his base)

On this board is a member who can’t discuss any subject without mentioning Trump. Why aren’t you calling him out? I’ll give you a hint to who that member is: lol

Anyway, back to the actual OP topic:

Everything Trump says drives liberals crazy. Remember when he wanted to secure our borders just like Obama and both Clintons did? Yep, it drove you guys crazy. Remember when Trump said America first? Yep, it drove you guys crazy.

Not sure what you mean by "you guys".

Just like everyone else at PF, I have my own individual opinions and I haven't any idea why you would associate me with any group called "you guys".:bored:

    Puzzling.:bored:

Anyway, THIS Thread IS about Trump.

So, hopefully you don't find his name being brought up in this thread to be "unusual".

Anyway, back ON-Topic, it really is rather "impressive" how Trump can LIE 24/7 (All Day/Every Day) and Still retain the support of his base.:smh:

The fact is, the US supplies more weapons to the world that are used for all kinds of violence. That doesn't seem to bother you. Which is worse....money or weapons. Pick your poison.

When ppl post a link with no reference to what they're referring to, it feels like clickbait. No thx.

Prolly just more 'fact-checking' of jokes anyway.

I think most of us prefer diplomacy, something which does not exist in the current administration. Trump's bellicose rhetoric and Brinkmanship is doomed to fail, and if it continues we can be almost certain that more American's will die needlessly, and the blood and treasure used by his ego will stain our nation for generations.

His comments yesterday were stupid, a clear example of a megalomaniac / narcissist who should never have been given the power held by a Commander-in-Chief.

Maybe in the short term. Then again who’s been hurt? Terrorists? Clinton thought appeasement and letting terrorists slide through our fingers was good policy...then 9/11 happened. It’s called looking past the 4-8 yrs you’re in office. Iran is always a pot boiling over.

Is the world safer or not when Iran doesn’t have a nuclear weapon? Obama’s deal didn’t stop ****!!!

It wasn't appeasment, Paul. It wasn't money taken from U.S. taxpayers. It was Iran's money, from when we froze their assets back in the 70s after they took our embassy personnel hostage. The 2015 deal included lifting economic sanctions, and Iran asked for, and received, about $400 million of those now unfrozen assets in cash of various currencies. It was a nice gesture (and smart!) on the part of the Obama administration for sealing the deal.

Do you get it? Or are you still listening to Rush on this? It was their money, Paul.

Well, at least you are admitting they did the same thing but not starting a war. Kudos!

And I thought it was my memory gone! FFS, what did we post about before Trump announced his candidacy in 2015?

"Hmm ... lemme see ... oh, yeah! I remember now! We posted about politics! That was it!"

Good grief, Rush, you sound like you believe our quarrels didn't exist before Trump.

I will continue to post about leaders (from either side) who mislead and lie to the American people - about big things and small. I will continue to hold their feet to the fire in the hopes they serve the people of this country, rather than themselves and the lobbies who own them.

Dude, why is it when you make a statement and I point out your double standard, you blow smoke? Had you actually READ the link I provided, you would have seen the following:

Trump often makes it sound like the United States cut a check to Iran as part of the Iran nuclear deal, formally known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). He also always uses too high an estimate, $150 billion, for the assets involved.

.....But this was always Iran’s money. Iran had billions of dollars frozen in foreign banks around the globe because of international sanctions over its nuclear program. The Treasury Department estimated that once Iran fulfilled other obligations, it would have about $55 billion left. The Central Bank of Iran said the number was actually $32 billion.
As for the $1.8 billion (actually, $1.7 billion), this was related to the settlement of a decades-old claim between the two countries, not the Iran nuclear agreement. An initial payment of $400 million was handed over on Jan. 17, 2016, the day after Iran released four American detainees, including Washington Post correspondent Jason Rezaian. The timing — which U.S. officials insisted was a coincidence — suggested the cash could be viewed as a ransom payment.

But the initial cash payment was also Iran’s money. In the 1970s, the then pro-Western Iranian government under the shah paid $400 million for U.S. military equipment. The equipment was never delivered because the two countries broke off relations after the seizure of American hostages at the U.S. Embassy in Iran. Two other payments totaling $1.3 billion — a negotiated agreement on the interest owed on the $400 million — came some weeks later.

Like Trump, you just remain willfully ignorant of the facts.

If you're ever ordered by a court of law or other official body to give someone money they are owed, and you just know they're going to use it for something bad, do you think you have the right to say no? Especially as it was their money to begin with?

The 2015 deal was not between Iran and the U.S. It was between Iran, the U.S., China, France, Russia, the UK, and Germany. It wasn't entirely our call. Thinking so is another prime example of American arrogance.

I love my country, but we do not rule the world, nor should we. Even if we don't like how Iran uses their money, it isn't for us to dictate terms or direct another country in that regard. The only response we should have is how we protect ourselves and our allies from those possible consequences.
