Although the die off happened a couple years ago now, the research into the cause has only just concluded.

The question I have is - how often will this have to happen before there is irreversible damage to the worlds ecology?

    Coral reef die offs
    Ocean “heat waves”
    Mass die offs
    Disappearing species

LOL, coral reefs are very resilient. The hype over the Great Barrier Reef is an example.

I think it's funny how the left thinks that they can keep the world exactly the way it is right now...….forever.

For every species dying off it is offset by one that is booming, jellyfish for example, but the left picks and chooses species to try and push their agenda.

Yes, it is definitely time to present a plan which is actually electorally viable instead of running shame campaigns that have the Coalition seize very unlikely victories, then virtue signalling with fairytales of "but if only the people supported our plan!"

We live in representative democracies and a consequence of this is you need to win the votes of people you might prefer you didn't have to.

And the right ignores what is happening

Tell me - do you believe God gave us stewardship of this planet?

Outside of religious beliefs, humans are simply another species on the planet, the same as everything else therefore anything we ultimately change is natural.

The fact we change it on a larger scale is irrelevant.

The beaver destroys environments far more drastically than humans do as do many other species.

The issue here is that evolution gave humans intelligence and birds the ability to fly, it's just the way the process worked out.

Wait a minute are you suggesting that the insanity of not saving our home, our planet is born of religious fanatics deciding it is god's will so they will not interfere and correct the harm they have done.

No, God has control of the planet, not us.

What you are implying is the theory that God created the world then took a hands off approach.

My Christian view is that the world only exists as a means to test His people and He uses it in any way He sees fit to accomplish that goal. God doesn't care if the world heats up or cools off, how many species die.....He only cares about how His creation acts within these events. As we know from the Bible, God is willing to destroy much more than we are just to prove a point.

No, we are not stewards in any way whatsoever.

Hmmm? The planet’s climate, plant life, animal life, and geology has changed constantly since time began, with or without human existence. So what’s the problem? Human existence?

It’s not Man destroying the planet, he’s making life wonderfully humanly livable; but the Man-Haters are certainly doing their best to make life a living hell.

Ayn Rand: “The dinosaur and its fellow-creatures vanished from this earth long before there were any industrialists or any men . . . . But this did not end life on earth. Contrary to the ecologists, nature does not stand still and does not maintain the kind of “equilibrium” that guarantees the survival of any particular species—least of all the survival of her greatest and most fragile product: man.”—http://aynrandlexicon.com/lexicon/ecology-environmental_movement.html

Nature is not an entity, it’s just an “is”.

With or without man, the planet is in a constant state of change.

There is no question that man's influence has been harmful.

IMO, we've passed the tipping point many years ago. I doubt it can be stopped, much less reversed.

The sky is not falling. Relax.
The ecosystem that is called earth has gone through millions of cycles of heating and cooling.
    More CO2 and less CO2.
The balance cannot be changes so easily as some cry babies think. The ecology is much more resilient.
Relax and enjoy our prosperity, soon we will take over the whole of the solar system and later the stars.
This is only the beginning of a huge human race growth....
You have not seen nothing yet.

a hundred years from now when the next cooling cycle comes by, the lefties will swear it was due to lowering carbon footprint

they neglect to see we are being groomed into wanting alternatives because in short order fossil fuels will run out, it's not an infinite source. this is being done so that the transition will be smoother/easier for all. the fact that none of the world's governments are willing to suspend commercial air flight, recreational cruise ships and the like, is proof that their is no such thing as agw, other than it being a way to persuade folks to utilize alternatives before the oil runs dry. ;)

Btchn and whining didn’t save them, did it? The real dinosaurs are the Apocalyptic Climatologist Doomsayers—they’ve been around since the first heard sound of thunder and lightning. One wishes they’d be like the dinosaurs and go extinct themselves. It would make life a lot more enjoyable.

The last Ice Age saw a reduction in human population and prosperity. The last global warming saw an explosion in human population and prosperity. Will the next Ice Age kill it.? Nope. We are too damn smart for a little cold to set us back. The future’s so bright I can ride its rays into tomorrow.

No. But there was nothing for them to do.
That's not the case this time.
