You have zero idea what is in the trade agreement since it has not been released for the public to review it.

It's like Pelosi on Obamacare. Vote on it first, late in the night, before you get to see it, read it, and know what's in it.

Thing is, we trust Trump and can plainly see that his policies have made the nation more prosperous. There's no reason to be suspicious or have doubt.

That is speculation to an event they prognosticate will earn them more money it has nothing to do with the actual substance in the agreement...

Sure buddy, sure you just trust someone and never audit their actions, yeah that always works out for the best...Yet that is what never happens in big business....That is why they use a word called review..

We have had a substantial trade deficit with China. This is the start to right the ship and balance trade between the two largest economies.

What makes you think a trade deficit is inherently negative for the USs side on this?

*shrug* not really. I'm honestly just trying to gauge opinions on this. I am very anti-Chinese Govt, so I'm all for anything that reduces their level of influence and infestation into Western Democracies.

I'm just not seeing the outcome of this as being one that furthers that particular goal. So just wondering why those who support this, support this.

Well, that's because you have this failed idea in your head that "The Left" is some monolithic organizational hive mind.

It isn't. I'm Cubed. Center Left Canadian from the North. I don't really care what you think "my clan" said. My posts are mine alone.

In a highly unusual move, the administration did not make the actual agreement available ahead of the signing, as is customary — raising some skepticism about the enforcement mechanisms contained in the text. “I’m looking at the technology transfer and intellectual property provisions to see what the specific enforcement mechanisms are. My question is, how is this going to work?” said Dean A. Pinkert, senior counsel at the law firm of Hughes Hubbard & Reed and a former commissioner of the U.S. International Trade Commission.

Well, in part to promote US jobs/companies coming back to the US(by hopefully having better rates/lower taxes here.) It's enjoyed relative success actually. The real big economic issue, is where is our money going to go. To the private economy, or to Uncle Sam. If it goes to Uncle Sam, it will be at the expense of local growth. Because small businesses are not benefited by poorer customers. Actually, none of us benefit from that.

We'd ideally see the federal government continue to cut down both costs and its 'revenue'(by which, of course is stealing real monetary wealth from its citizens.). What happened in Kansas is that they decided to try and cut themselves off, but still ran the same costs as though they were parasites. No, gotta do both.

And yes, it's going to be *hard*. I didn't say any of this was easy. There's no quick pill for 30-40 years of economic malaise and incompetence. But, it's a process that we need to go through.

Nope, I don't, especially if it comes to China.
How come that the righties suddenly trust China ?
Didn't the righties jump up and down and demanded the Nobel Peace Price concerning the North Korea affair.
Were did all those promises lead to? Besides nothing and enhancing Kim's image.
