I disagree. The Jesus character authorizes mass murder when people don't stick with him. So, the Popes were acting in accordance with Jesus's dictate. Besides, the Bible has numerous stories where the God character approves of mass murder for religious reasons. It is in accordance with the real first Commandment.

The Hadiths are alleged sayings of the Prophet that were compiled many years after the death of the Prophet, way before the Quran was fully revealed. The Seerah is simply a biography of the life of the Prophet, and so I have no clue how you managed to conclude that it’s “part of the Quran.”
