What were the Sidwell Prep menus like? Bet they didn’t have high fat, high sodium, low fibre, high processed CHO.

No nutritional data, but a diet that only exists for 40K USD a year.

Too many forget the Obama's were people of privilege.

A young black child in Visalia, CA? Forget about it.

The Obamas weren’t always well off.
And the poor kids from the public schools were suffering from a similar diet.

Xenophobic can also refer to the fear of people of a different color. You're welcome.

You're thinking of "racist" -- or is xenophobic safer as a personal insult?

    Definition of xenophobia

: fear and hatred of strangers or foreigners or of anything that is strange or foreign

For what it's worth racism is the word being misapplied. All humans are one race comprised of different ethnicities. So in that context xenophobia is actually more correct than racist.

They weren't "offered", they were forced.

    Why would I care?

You never answered my question... what made Michelle qualified to tell us what to eat?

What makes Melania Trump qualified to tell us not to be cyber bullies when she is married to the biggest bully of all time? Why doesn't she tell him to "Be Best"?

Campaign contributions from the company that massed produced that crap and pink slime. Glad we went back to our regional fair.. Tex Mex cuisine.. at least it will be eaten and not thrown directly in the garbage pail. Or at least we will after we buy the kitchen gear again.. the local demonrats sold the high quality stainless steel oven and stoves and kitchen gear to their crony buddies.

Michelle was keen to promote health and reduce childhood obesity. As a mother she was aware of the problems faced by busy parents when it came to feeding a family. She worked with the task force on childhood obesity.
“From the very beginning, everyone in the administration acknowledged that schools were absolutely key to tackling childhood obesity.”

Mrs. Obama’s work “improved the diets of millions of children, especially vulnerable children in food insecure households,” said Juliana Cohen, a nutrition professor at Harvard University’s School of Public Health. More students are eating vegetables and whole grain-rich foods because of the former first lady.

“Food waste was a problem before the healthier standards were enacted, so rolling them back won’t solve that problem,” Ms. Cohen said. “It’s just that more people are paying attention to the issue now.”
