    Don't you love identity politics?

I can't tell if this guy is trying to pull a Fauxcahontas, having a good troll, or both.

I wonder how many of those who'd be upset at this guy would feel the same about Warren?

That sounds like an admission that merely being black will move you up the ladder.

From the article, “It’s an insult to African-Americans that you would use our race to get an advantage on the exam so that way you could get promoted,” said Jean-Poix,

The only insult is that people feel the need to lie about irrelevant characteristics such as race for advancement.
Ethnicity should have nothing to do with promotion.

I don’t know if he was even being a troll more so than bringing attention to something that is indefensible.

You lose your narrative however when you bring Warren into the example as she was basing her ethnicity on what she had been told her whole life and when she discovered that it was false issued a public retraction and apology.

One would have to be naive as all hell to believe that Warren actually believed herself to be Native... to any degree.

I do not believe there is evidence of this, if there is proof that she lied about her heritage knowingly and you can provide it I will retract my statement.

I have asked numerous posters only to be ignored or deflected and researched myself to find nothing.

He could have black DNA, you never know.
I know must black & white people I know identify as strictly black.
I've also heard several blacks say "black and white makes black"
Why is this? Because they want to pretend that they have no white in them but most do.
Also, if people have to fake being black to get special priveleges, why the hell are they always complaining? It sounds to me like tje real privelege goes to blacks (except when it comes to getting pulled over.).

What this highlights is the sad fact that being black can help less qualified individuals get promoted ---- black privilege ---- when race should not play any role in determining who gets promoted.

All things should be merit based, and NO things should be race based.

Why? I was told my entire life that I was part Irish only to find out that wasn’t true through DNA testing — I am part Scottish. Is it my fault that I believed my family?

Do you know any Native Americans? Many of them look Caucasian, why would “one have to be naive as all hell to believe that Warren actually believed herself to be Native... to any degree”.

When you look like an Aryan stereotype, and your relatives probably do as well... yet you identify yourself as Native American on various official forms/documents, you're either a liar, or you're not playing with a full deck.

LOL, dude... you couldn't tell a Scottish person apart from an Irish person by sight alone if your life depended on it.

And yes, I've met plenty of actual Native people and I'd never identify them as caucasian.

You didn’t answer the question. Am I to blame for the incorrect information from my parents?

My next door neighbor is half Native American on his mothers side, his children are a quarter. I would have guessed his youngest is full blooded even though she is only a quarter, I would have never guessed he was... So again, why would one have to be naive to believe she actually believed she was part Native American?

And do you also buy her story about her parents having to elope because of her racist grandparents, even though neither of her parents were Cherokee and her parents didn't elope?

Your comparison doesn't make sense. Nobody would care if you said you were Irish, only to find that you're actually Scottish. Nobody would care if an Algonquin unknowingly claimed Sioux heritage.

Well, better get some glasses, or stop bs-ing me.

Warren looks nothing like a Native American. Not. Remotely. Yet she had the audacity to call herself one.

    You beat me to it.

The number of people in Warren's family who told her she was native american is closer to zero than one.

No idea, I have never looked into it (or even heard this before your post). I noticed you didn’t provide the evidence I requested. Is it because there is none and anything to the contrary is baseless speculation?

I think its awfully racist to peg him as a Hispanic when he's clearly black, as evidenced by his documents.

You still didn’t answer the question.

I don’t have the desire to try and explain dominate and recessive gene variations.

They should immediately convene a quorum of the Elders of the Blackness to get to the root of this.

Especially when she has neither of those in her DNA for native american genes.

Everyone can mark that they are black, it’s illegal to challenge it.

You don't have a question. You have a poorly thought out attempt at defending Fauxcahontas.

Maybe you could explain genetics to Warren, and why it was wrong of her to claim Native ancestry.
