I like Triscuits too. They always remind me of reindeer food you could buy in North Pole, Co. Sure they don't taste the same.

I had a banana.. but it was past it's prime so I had 1/2 a banana. Not a bad lunch. Tolerable. ;)

So thankful for a weekend with no doc appts or social events. Plan to veg.

Interesting. Several soft cheese of the Brie/Camenbert type. Not an easy market to hold.

Sorry to hear they are going down, though it sounds like they may explore other avenues, perhaps share production facilities with another company?

You may not be at a total loss of fromage….

I think we're going to find out during the onslaught of commercials during the Super Bowl.

There's been speculation that Planters is retiring Mr. Peanut but I've also heard it's just a marketing hook.

'Til then, there's a tear in my beer...:(

I’m paying $3.99 a gallon for red kerosene. We have a kerosene heater that we sit in the middle of the living room but only light it morning and evening. The house has electric heat and keeps it warm but the kerosene puts off a warm cozy radiant heat and has a nice glow. We burn about a gallon a day. Cleaned all of the diesel out of the transfer tank in my pickup, spun a new filter on it and went down to the farm store and filled it up with kerosene. Now we don’t have to drive into town every week to fill a can.

I hadn't heard of them, until I read that they are shutting down. I bought $45 of everything that a grocery store had.

The one called "Off Kilter" is the best of what I've tried, so far. It is really good.

I had this trippy thought. One of those trippy thoughts I would have shared with Flounder and he would give me a perfectly well reasoned explanation why it all made sense lol.

This is a body, mind thing.
When you're young your body is the healthy vessel you need to nourish and flourish your brain. Your brain is your higher purpose vessel. The higher purpose vessel is the housing for your soul. Your soul is every thought stored and processed in a manner personal to you, to make you what you really are. The older you get your body, the vessel withers and your brain that stored and processed all that information keeps it stored for the next level. Doesn't matter if the body vessel cant communicate or shuts down the communication from the brain to the vessel. The soul has all that stored. Its stored for a purpose. That energy is waiting to move on to the next level. Another form. The pod leaves the vessel to enter the never ending process. Not a loop but a straight line to infinity.

Oh and I decided to be gluten free this morning. Coincidence? Ahahaha

My soul took a snapshot of the open field
    In the woods
A small place built by hand
A field that was a portal
    That sweet smell of nature
    The Suns warmth
    I laid in the grass
    Arms wide open
    I became part of it.
I stored it in my soul.

Now yer talkin'. A Banana every day is important.Triscuits have many flavors.
Maybe too many.I buy the Fire Roasted Tomato or Balsamic Vinegar and Basil.
I think I have tried all of them. They usually run out of the Fire Roasted Tomato.
Now about that banana. They are a real problem once eaten. That infernal
peel.I know ... they can be used in a pinch to polish shoes.
But there has never been anything done about it as waste product.
I refer to one of my favorite Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau
    movies - The Fortune Cookie - { 1966 } which has a scene where
    a guy comes into Walter Matthau's { Willie Gingrich's } Attorney's
Office which is the size of a closet and cluttered almost to the ceiling
with paperwork and sits down on the nearest chair { a turned over
waste paper basket }. It's Floyd of - Andy Griffith -.Floyd as Mr.Cimoli
expresses how much pain he's in." I was coming out of the store and there
it was on the sidewalk." Opens up a brown paper bag revealing the culprit.
    " This " { a banana peel }.
Willie listens and says " I see.And you were coming out of what store ? ".
    " Nate's Delicatessen on Euclid Avenue ," admits Mr.Cimoli.
" Too bad " says Willie.
    " Oh such pain " replies Mr.Cimoli
" I mean too bad it didn't happen further down the street in front of
The May co.From them you can collect.Couldn't you have dragged yourself
    another twenty feet . " -- Willie.

My husband loves them, he said they are the best. The 2 pounds I ordered didn't last very long. I am going to order more.

I will look at your cheesemaker. I have a hard time keeping cheese. My bunch is nuts for cheese.

I get to sort of veg today. Not so many do's on my list a bit of laundry and I am done. The only thing I have to do is throw the frisbee for the border collie. He is laying down on the floor, he keeps looking up at me.."Aren't you ready to go yet?" look in his eyes. My sons tell me he is spoiled and I did the spoiling.

Quattrocento quantum physics provides some support for your position.

"so long did Beatrice, smiling her delight,
stay silent, her eyes fixed on the Fixed Point
whose power had overcome me at first sight.

Then she began: “I do not ask, I say
what you most wish to hear, for I have seen it
where time and space are focused in one ray.

Not to increase Its good— no mil nor dram
can add to true perfection, but that reflections
of his reflection might declare ‘I am’—

in His eternity, beyond time, above
all other comprehension, as it pleased Him,
new loves were born of the Eternal Love.

Nor did He lie asleep before the Word
sounded above these waters; ‘before’ and
‘after’ did not exist until His voice was heard.

Pure essence, and pure matter, and the two
joined into one were shot forth without flaw,
like three bright arrows from a three-string bow."

"It should be noted that the Italian word Dante used for this “Fixed Point” is punto. In mathematics, it is the abstract non-dimensional point. It has no measurement of width, height, or extension in space or time. It is a pure abstraction of a position. Is this really so different from the singularity that cosmologists claim is the source of all things?"

And then there is this from the horse's mouth - or the horse's something else ...

"Insofar as they do not allow themselves to be subordinated to 'tele-graphy' thought and writing are isolated in the ghetto, in the sense in which the work of Kafka deploys that theme. But this term ghetto here simply some metaphor. ... The same goes for writers and thinkers: if they resist the predominant use of time today, they are not only predestined to disappear, but they must also contribute to the making of a 'sanitary cordon isolating themselves. In the shelter of this cordon, their destruction is supposed to be able to be put off for a while. But they 'buy' this brief and delay by modifying their way of thinking and writing in such away that their works become more or less communicable, Exchange able; in a word, commercializable. ... I mean that they contribute to making even more hegemonic the great rule of controlled time."

Jean-François Lyotard, The Inhuman, Reflections On Time, Stanford University Press, stanford, California 1991. p. 76

    Here is a taste:

"I have come, alas, to the great circle of shadow,
to the short day and to the whitening hills,
when the colour is all lost from the grass,
though my desire will not lose its green,
so rooted is it in this hardest stone,
that speaks and feels as though it were a woman.

And likewise this heaven-born woman
stays frozen, like the snow in shadow,
and is unmoved, or moved like a stone,
by the sweet season that warms all the hills,
and makes them alter from pure white to green,
so as to clothe them with the flowers and grass. ..."

Sestina - Poem by Dante Alighieri (first stanza)

You cant make something from nothing. Nothing being defined as a total absolute void. There always had to be something. What that always something was and will be, I have no clue. But I do know, everything is a part of that something.

Yes, something from nothing would be supernatural.
