After two days of testimony of facts and videos illustrating the entire nasty corruption surrounding the Trump administration and Trump himself I look forward to watching the Republicans commit political suicide in exoneration Trump. The facts are out in the public now and thinking Americans (that 70%) know the facts and know the GOP alliance with a corrupt president.

Does anyone seriously believe the Trump cabal will not be washed overboard in November? I'm not even sure the GOP will survive as a political party after this. Schumer can't negotiate whether Hunter Biden is called or not. Hunter is a private citizen. Republicans call whoever the hell they want, and Democrats should be allowed to call who they want. This "witness exchange" is nonsense. If Republicans want to call him... call him. He's irrelevant to the case, but that's up to Republicans.

Yeah... and guess what! Cruz is one of those who decide if witnesses are allowed. That's why it's good news. Of course Cruz could just be talking out of his arse and end up voting against what he says is "critical". Heck!... they could even agree to call an irrelevant witness like Biden, and not the ones who are actually relevant to the case. But there is a bit of a hope that Senators will not just rubber-stamp Trump's authorization to keep cheating in the elections. Who knows....

 

The Senate decides which witnesses to call if any. I don't think there is a Senate rule says there has to be an even side allocation of witnesses.

I doubt seriously that you can point out dishonesty in Cruz, but I'll accept the hyperbole.

Frankly I don't see how Hunter Biden can help the president's defense. As far as I know Hunter knows nothing about anything pertinent. Lunch Bucket Joe maybe, but not Hunter.

Honesty and equality are not the same thing.

There is reasonable suspicion with his own boastful video that he was in the know of and amidst Ukraine corruption and participated in an illegal quid pro quo with government money -- sufficient reasonable suspicion to warrant an investigation. And Ukraine corruption is at the heart of the Articles of Impeachment.

 

That's why I said "honesty". Cruz is equally dishonest with everybody. His political foes, his political allies... even with his own family

There is no reasonable suspicion whatsoever. But, leaving that aside, even if there were, how would that help Trump in any way?
