Because the Senate has to make a decision without the ability to know the future. It's the same with any risk vs reward decision.

That Biden did something shadey is not true? The Obama administration said that too so were they wrong too ? They told Biden that his action was a conflict of interest, that's what one of the people who testified in the house said under oath

No. Trump was impeached because most Democrats in the House accused him of wrongdoing.

Nothing has been proven. The defense has yet to speak. Trump is innocent unless 67 Senators vote that he is guilty. Heard of due process, yes? You're watching it in action, and we're only partially finished.

Objection, this is a non-sequitor. Another prosecuting error on the part of Adam Schiff.

Trump can be impeached for refusing all impeachment inquires... Nixon didn't... Clinton didn't... All he had to do was provide some documents and some witnesses and there likely is no Article 2.

It's not the fault of the Democrats if the process is completely broken...

It's their fault if the process they initiate is yes, flawed in both approach and reasoning. This is Pelosi's egg, so I hope the pen ceremony made her feel all giddy inside because that's all she's going to get out of it.

No, he was impeached because most of the House approved articles of impeachment. He is impeached for those two articles regardless of how the Senate votes.

Also, you never responded to my series of links regarding Trump's assertion of Absolute Immunity. Did you see that post?

I feel confident that the Russian talking point (or at least the references to those from the House Managers) was not in regards to Biden, but to whether Russia was behind the 2016 US election interference and whether Ukraine did any interference.

The Ukrainians did interfere(so did the CIA for that matter, but that's another story.). So they didn't have facebook bots or the hacking incident, but that doesn't make them any less slimy. Despite Schiff's protests to the contrary.

I heard a clip from the hearings where Schiff said Trump's primary job is to put America first. When Trump does that he's called a racist.

As 12 Trump appointed officials testified under oath just two months ago, there is no evidence to support the assertion that Ukraine interfered in the US election to any meaningful or substantive degree.

"Meaningful or substantive degree", that's RICH. Then by that same standard, the Russians didn't substantively interfere with Facebook and fake identities. It can't be substantive when you want it to be substantive, and then not otherwise. Either the government wants me to take it's diatribe concerns seriously, or it doesn't.

And asking questions to find evidence is impeachable.

ROFL. Each and every day is closer to acquittal, and maybe, just maybe Dems will realize the futility of everything they've done. Hint: Future actions will also be futile. This was a waste of campaign time and mobilizing efforts. Time that the President is/will be using.

    "
    meaningful or substantive degree."

That's the qualifier in your sentence..... According to who because what that may mean can change based on who said it

The Russian interference was a widespread, top-down directed campaign that involved dozens of individuals and multiple companies to hack and spread tens of thousands of fraudulent posts. That is meaningful and substantive.

Two people leaking the results of a criminal investigation about the campaign manager is not meaningful or substantive.

Besmirching the Republican candidate, as a foreign entity in US elections is no less in any way shape or form than what the Russians did. As others have said, apparently spending 50K outworked the entire Clinton campaign. The government has repeated itself ad infinity, in part because it's unconvincing. It literally still smells like the Gulf of Tonkin.
