Then, you might be an ideal person to answer the OP's question.

I would guess that you're a fan of the Robin Hood stories.

I'm not in a good spot to know because I am a "hard core" Independent. I don't know why anyone would vote Republican either. Your points are well taken. The Democratic Party is split between far left and moderates, about the same as far rights and moderates in the GOP. Why the radical factions do what they do is only a concern to me when there is a winner or loser for party control. Hopefully, moderates win on both sides an we can take our country back.

From my Independent view, I believe the moderates in the Democratic Party have begun taking control. None of the Medicare for All, World will and Tomorrow, Full Rights for Illegals, Open Borders, Minorities Forever crowd grabs me.

What does "grab me" is moderate Democratic. focus on stemming global warming with technology, strengthening our alliances, keeping America at the forefront of world power, restraint of spending to control deficits, government responsibility and honesty, a sensible path to citizenship, a focus on America's working class, a health care system that cuts costs and covers everyone, sensible gun registration, and creating and maintaining a great education system for everyone.

I may be wrong, but I think a lot of moderate Republicans want the same thing with a different path to achieve them. If so, then we are in agreement but need to work on the details. That is how things once were in America - before radicals on both sides grabbed the headlines.

Over half the country does not work, and of those?? Yes, they overwhelmingly vote Democrat.

As for you voting Democrat?? That does not speak well for you.

Democracies always fail in the same ways, and for the same reasons. Our Founding Fathers wrote extensively about the history of governmental systems, and specifically rejected democracy for those reasons.

You are voting to bankrupt and destroy your country. For what?? To be kind to strangers with other peoples money??

I'm not a Republican, but voting Democrat is indefensible.

Good deal. Now, since you apparently think that "free stuff" for all is good, how about YOU pay for it? You and the rest of the "free stuff" crowd should donate 3/4ths of your income to the government. Of course you won't - you won't pay for your beliefs unless others are forced to pay too.

Presumptive posts like this that presume to know way "everyone" thinks are laughable. Here are a few Democrats the "don't work" or "want free stuff for everyone." Michael Bloomberg, Warren Buffet, Bill Gates, Tom Steyer, and 90% of the Bay Area CEO's.

Talk about presumptive, your post is exactly that.

"You and the rest of the "free stuff" crowd" isn't presuming anything, it is very narrowly defined.

Some percentage of our population believes that by virtue of being born here entitles them to be bankrolled by the taxpayer for life. The Democrats invented that myth to attract votes, they are still peddling that same lie to illegals.

Only if One doesn't learn from previous mistakes. The Democrats set that one up.

In 2014 the construction industry picked up in NW Ark where I did business and the UE was falling from 4.2 to 3.6....Yet people that were Repubs were claiming they were fake numbers, people like Trump..

I have been a Democrat longer than a Republican, but also an Independent. I don't let any Party dominate my thinking and I sure know this Democratic Party of today is not the one of my Farther or which I spent more than 20 years in.

The numbers don't lie. 63% of Democrats make less than $15,000 a year, that's why they want more of your ample income to give to them. If you want to give away a large chunk of those 6 figures you're talking about, why wouldn't you want to decide whom it goes to? Wouldn't you want it to go to the truly need instead of the sloven?

All the while Obama was looking for good jobs to build his economy and your two biggest Blue states were hiring the Chinese to build their roads and bridges for them and also using Chinese steel.

Really? Those Chinese road builders in NW Ark sure looked caucasian to me..Never saw a one Chinese guy, probably because NW Ark is a staunch Republican area that hires only whites-huh? Well actually they hire the Hispanics since the whites refuse to work...(see, anyone can make up crap to tell a story.)...

The most economically productive areas in the US are in Democratically held areas whereas the poorest are mostly in Republican held areas.

Robin Hood was a good man - he took what the State stole from the people (taxes) and gave it back to them.

    Not a Democrat. :)

Not a republican either since none of them give back what they steal.
