All right, conservatives, we must give in to why Time magazine gave the privilege of Person of the Year to Greta Thunberg. In this clip, you will bear witness to her unimpeachable expertise on the phenomenon of global warming as she stuns with her rhetorical brilliance and her dazzling passion. Just watch and ponder.

It seems all very ironically fitting that the left praises someone who does not have a fully developed prefrontal cortex as a thought leader in their ideological movement.

It is another example of how low Republican politics have become, that they have to trash talk a child.

I don't trash talk their kids. I find Sarah Palin and Donald Trump to be some extremely ignorant people. I just wonder at what type of minimal mentality it must take to think either is worthy of following.

Do you not support Greta? Do you not agree with the words in my OP? Or do you see the irony in my words, and therefore understand the absurdity of the left, you, putting this child on a pedestal as a thought leader, someone to whom we must seriously pay attention?

What the left likes to do--and the right has been guilty of this as well--is put children in front of their ideas, having the child repeat from some script, written by an adult. This is a tactic to make it so the idea is never criticized, because it is coming from a child. This is a form of having your cake and eating it, too.

Your statement is also terribly ageist, because if I made the same post about someone who is at least 18, you would not be able to say I was engaging in "trash talk" to "kids."

Yes, yes. I seem to remember you arguing against those to whom you agree with politically when they were trashing Nick Sandman with threats of doxxing and murder. What Nick Sandman did not do is address the UN! And be the face of Time's Person of the Year! When you jump into those waters, your age should not be used as a shield against legitimate criticism.

My point is that Greta, without a script, cannot express herself. She wants to pass the mic. Speaking in an impromptu way is not her forte, because these ideas are not her own; she is just memorizing a script. You say the right also does this, and you use as an example someone, Trump, speaking impromptu. See? It does not follow.

Well done sir, well done. This is one those truly stupid ideas that various people have tried down through the years.

The first one I know of was the Children's Crusade in which a bunch waifs under the guidance of a few nuns, and priests went to North Africa to beg the Muslims to covert. As far as I know they all wound up as slaves and a few of the kids became the first recruits for the once dreaded janissaries.

More recently some of the Muslim terrorists group are using their kids as human shield for rocket teams to make political fodder about how awful it is that the Jews are murdering innocent children.
In the west particularly in America, the left uses kids as human shield for horrible ideas.

The morale of the story of course is that if you don't want your kids caught in the line of fire don't put them there.

Oh one last thing while I'm thinking about it, a horrible idea is still a horrible idea no matter the age of the person promoting it.

 

Left-wingers trash talk Palin's kids, Trump's kids and a lot of other Republican children.

 

Once someone decides to become an attention junkie they are fair game until them leave them alone.

I think this is another one of those issues where conservarives are once again off the rails.

Greta is just a useful face for the plight of young people facing a polluted world that many adults want to do nothing about. If it wasn't for her, it would be someone else.

What must it say about conservatives who must trash talk a child. It is part of the programming fault. The gzzrts gizzits gerryse sissssss effect. You know the whole does not compute sensation. Where belief, what one has been told, is more important than the reality around them. Global warming is beyond doubt, and it makes those who deny that very basic fact, look like a whole lot of silliness. And then to attack the symbol of youthful action makes y'all look rather pathetic.

 

She violates their beliefs. It is blasphamy to the indoctrinated. She represents what they deny.

It is kind of like why many Christians tend to be so unkind to non-believers. That one could have a successful and happy life while rejecting the notion of a god, takes away from their belief system. In the same way, Greta, pointing out the effects of global warming, violates their belief system. She must be bad. Otherwise deniers would have to come to face the reality that they have been staking their opinions and reputations on falsehoods. And in doing so, from a distance they look a bit foolish. It is why they lash out as they do.

 

Trump's children are adults and have been going on television and displaying, for all to see, their ignorance and their ugliness.

 

It is part if the Russian/Republican propaganda stream. The same folks that assure the faithful that Trump is innocent, also tell them how horrible a child Greta is. They can't help themselves.
