Michael Bloomberg Calls California A ‘Model’ For The Rest Of The Country

Honestly, can this man be taken seriously as a Presidential candidate? His quote “I think that California can serve as a great example for the rest of this country,” just blows my mind? Thoughts??

Thoughts? He's batshit insane is my thought. I wouldn't move to California even if you paid me all the money in the world. Place has too many idiots running the State.

 

When he said CA is a model for the country, did he happen to mention which country?

This is a guy who belonged to the democrat party, the Republican Party, then he was an Indy, so now the next logical move for him is to be a member of the communist party.

 

He has all the money he will ever need. He's an arrogant pompous ass who craves attention. For him, it's about power. He's going to DICTATE. California has ignored the US Constitution and Federal law when and where it benefits them. That's Bloomberg's model too.

 

I cant think of a single thing in CA that I want here.

Well, one thought that comes to mind immediately is that California had been delusional for as long as I've been alive.

I am making plans to flee the state of California. The increased gas tax we supposed to be for the roads. However it appears to have been to prop up California's failing pension system.

I found a Bloomberg flyer on my door this wwek. I also watched some of his interview by Sharpton, yesterday. His problem with the black vote will be his support for Stop and Frisk but Trump is associated with the Central Park Five. He's got an uphill battle to win the Democratic primaries. We will end up with President Biden. Still, money, brains and saavy can accomplish Herculian feats. I wouldn't underestimate him, if he were my opponent.

 

If you can afford it, there are many areas in CA that are quite beautiful. A long, long time ago, I did some high end residential architecture in CA. One was a big beach front house right next to John Wayne's place in Newport beach. It was on Via Lido Soud. A very exclusive little island with no crap. Still, we had to fight with the Coastal Commission and the city way back then just to get it permitted.

 

'President Biden'. Yeah, I doubt that. President Trump's 2nd term is a 50/50 and if the Impeachment ads fail, it'll be a 60/40 proposition.

 

Because it's the best American state, duh.

California has been going bankrupt for seventy years. California is going to fall into the ocean. Nobody wants to live in California, it's too crowded. California is full of kooks and nuts. Then again California is the sixth largest economy in the world. California is a state with mountains, redwood trees, Yosemite, cool and damp climates, dessert climates, the Sierra Mountains, the Sonora desert, Hollywood, aircraft and space industries, the Bay Area tech metropolis, artists, writers, entrepreneurs, many of the nations best and most important universities, and the beat goes on.

Historically, California has led the nation in social and economic trends. Like it or not, California is the bellwether of "what next" in America. California is building solar powered hydrogen refill stations and plug in recharge stations. California leads the nation in environmental laws. And yes, it is very crowded in the LA Basin and the Bay Area. More importantly, California is a high energy place a lot of people wouldn't enjoy. I lived there in LA for a number of years and liked it. I am frankly, too old for California, I couldn't keep up. But I admire California on many levels.

 

Biden won't be the nominee. His brain is leaking from his ears too fast for the MSM to continue covering and spinning in regards to his ever increasing dementia. Two days ago he poked a Black man in the chest and told him to vote for somebody else. Yesterday he actually forgot what he was saying in mid speech and simply ground to a halt. It's getting worse.

As for Bloomberg his superbowl ad will be anti-gun ownership in nature. He is politically tone deaf.

CA is a prime example of why the Electoral College needs to be left alone.

 

Massive debt, hosed infrastructure, most regulations and taxes in country. People stop and take a dump where the urge strikes them. The power company shuts down massive areas because their system is so hosed that they burn down homes and kill people on a regular basis. Of course Bloomberg doesn't see that because he gets out of his jet and takes a limo to his five star hotel. I am all for capitalism so good on him for making all that money but the money shouldn't blind him to so many obvious epic fails of the worst state, except for New Jersey, in the country.

California is great, Californians are the problem.

California does have amazing natural beauty, and a strong backbone of rural/agricultural citizens, but, it's the urban areas that are like Petri dishes that culture and breed the cancer that is urban leftist lunatic Californians. A cancer which unfortunately spreads across the country when Californians, like yourself, "can't keep up"(read: can no longer tolerate the garbage pits of filth and misery they've created) and they leave California to seek new hosts to infect with their Californian diseases.

 

The ONLY reason CA is even functional is that they have Hollywood and Silicon Valley grandfathered in. Those established themselves long before CA went batshit crazy and now it’s all that’s holding the place afloat.
What is most amusing are CA transplants that move elsewhere but want to retain what drove them off in the first place. It’s like brain damage.
